24H du Ring

Yup, sat down for the 24H race last night. Played around with a few cars. Decided on the RX-8 LM with a minor boost in HP. Lightly modified the settings. Hopped on the track in B-Spec and watched him gracefully pull away, a few seconds per lap, but pitting earlier than the AI. I had him running on setting 3, with super hard tires. After the second pit I went to bed.

This morning when I woke up ... the PS2 was turned off. Hmmm. SABOTAGE! Anyone had their PS2 turn off on its own, or has my machine fallen victim to an energy conscious room mate?

Anyway, long weekend coming up. Perhaps I can knock out a couple 4 hour races.

my advice is to put a paper sign on the PS2 when leaving it un-attended that says "DO NOT TOUCH! Race in progress" or somthing like that....thats what i did

(oh, and i think you mixed the names of the 2 biggest real life endurance races into one: "24h du Mans" and "Der Nürburgring 24h". only making this point as one is in French the other is in German )

Ah, thanks for the pointers. I could also move the PS2 to a different room - that actually sounds like the best course of action.

And the name, I was just throwing words in the title. Honestly I thought I made up "du". I am a classic monolingual American (:

I've never had mine turned off but I have woken up with it turned on and in my garage.

DOH! Maybe B-Spec Bob just couldn't be arsed?

Looks like the environmentalists are revolting... actually, B-Spec is greener than just about any other computer game ever... you don't even need the TV on... 👍
