24hr endurance B spec - how to let it run while I sleep?

A spec the entire thing mate. :)

Ha! My attention span is too short to do that...I usually start the race myself, do a few laps to gain a lead, then dive into the pits and change to B-Spec for the rest, and take over again at the end for the final lap or two to the line...

Sometimes if i get bored, i fly down the straight with nitrous and not brake at the end.

Stupid, i know, but I'm young and have a dangerously low attention span.

Well, have you ever raced on a 200-lap Daytona? I've done it on my NASCAR 09, even it's not as long as Nurb' 4h, the track layout makes me bored A LOT :grumpy:. But because of very tight margin, it would teach you how to keep driving fast after a few hours. Although GT4 endurances is boring, I could manage to have a consistent lap times along the race. Just aiming for that, keep patient, and I am young, too :)

Just a bonus question, I have heard that lighter cars tyres last longer, is that true?

It's weird how it works, because the Spyker C8 is extremely light, yet when fully tuned with R1 tyres and adjustable wing, it lasts only 4 laps in the nurburgring enduro:confused:

If you start a race in B-spec, then switch betweeen A & B-spec does anyone know if you stiil score B-spec points? I'm racing in Nurbergring 24 hours.

If you use both A-Spec and B-Spec in the same race, you will gain points for neither.

Actually, while I have very little B-Spec experience, I'm pretty sure that you do get B-Spec points even if you begin the race in A-Spec.

Gran turismo 4.

- 24 Hour Nurbugring (A - Spec) done.
- 24 Hour Sarthe (B - Spec) done.
- 24 Hour Sarthe II (A - Spec) done.

=P

I A-spec-ed the entire 24 hour Le Mans (chicane-less) a few weeks ago. Then i Started the 24 Hour of the 'Ring and finally completed the other Le Mans this morning.

i actually planned to A spec the entire endurance hall, but after doing it for the first time at Le Mans, it's almost impossible. It took me around a month to complete the race. I had no choice but B spec some of the stints of the 'Ring enduro and the Le Mans enduro.

It's crazy how slow the B spec really is. For example, I was lapping in the 3'12-3'18 bracket at Le Mans last night, but in B spec, the fastest is 3'26.

That has to do with your B-spec Bob's ability. If you only gathered about 5000 points he won't fair too well, but with a higher amount he will.

I do wonder... did you leave on the PS2 for an entire month?

Ability? Well, my intention was to run the entire profile without B spec. But as i mentioned because of time constraints, i had to use B spec. So in other words, the more i run B spec, the points will be scored for B spec, and more skillful the B spec will be?

And regarding your questions, yes, i left the PS on for the entire month. Why?

Correct. There are also stats concerning overtaking, etc, but I'm not quite sure how that works. Perhaps this link might be of some help.

He may be joking, but that doesn't make it any less real.

It may be obvious, and real, but it doesn't make it any less hilarious.

(Yeah, it's off-topic but this thread has been redundant for a long time now.)
