I was suggesting improvements, you jackass

I think you should take a look at these interviews and learn a bit from them. That way they don't become too tedious. đź‘Ť

Kinda childish it is to not accept criticism, whether it be positive or negative

i'm gone for 3 bloody weeks and i come back to this sort of conversation?
whats going on here. and i, for some reason can't click on the bloody link.
anywho, i will check again once i get back to canada. i fly in a day's time.

Awesome! I was mentioned loads! I feel honoured that you take inspiration from my gallery. I wouldn't take any of those comments harshly guys, you know I wouldn't :) Brilliant interview guys.

I am not a stalker :)

It's a link to one of the drifter interviews.

@Diego- I think one reason why the drifter interveiw has a bigger response from the interviewee is because those interviews are done by PM, whereas these here are done on MSN or some other IM program.

Bram, you should definetly do one last GIMP update, like a special anniversary update or something.

TBH I think the problem is a bit deeper than that. The interview I posted is much easier to read and the interviewer never expresses his own opinion. Neither does the interviewee get to ask questions himself.

Notice how on many instances TVR asks a question and Bram answers it in less than 10 words, whereas sometimes Bram asks a question and TVR answers in no less than three lines.

I honestly think the format should be revised. The Photomode forums probably have more effort put into them than the Dirft forum, so it would only be fair for all of us that the interviews receive the same treatment as well.

I would like to point out the person who did the drifter interviews asked me how I did mine, but some interviews are done different then others. And even some interviews have more to talk about.

However the last two interviews were done the same as interview number 3.

Quick! quick!

aww.... you missed the point train. :indiff:

Still remember as I pointed out before, if you still don't like how I do the interviews, then you do not need to read them, because I am not pushing you to read them. Also remember different people do there interviews a different way.

interesting interview Bram!!

however, i do think there is room for improvement tvr_fan!

this is constructive critisism to make the whole interview more appealing to everyone and i am currently studying this at uni....
1) the person being interviewed IS the reason for the interview. Nothing you have to say apart from the questions is important
2)Quit your jibber jabber!!
3)Edit out the rubbish!
4)have an aim to your interview and stick to it
5)use open questions that allow the interviewer to ellaborate without extra pushing from you!
6)Keep problems bout interviewing out of the interview. do you see tv channels/magazines telling you of their transmission problems?
7) take public opinions and learn from them instead of becoming defensive otherwise you just prove your a jackass!!!

other than that, great. good to know more bout gtp members. but less about you!

All I am trying to do in interviews is make it a chat show an interview in one. But to silence people like -Diego- and EXelero, I will cut the interview into two parts, first questions and then the chat show part of the interview posted up the day after the question replies have been posted up.

don't do it to silence us... do it because it's better... makes it more enjoyable... but whatever

Me too, Bram!
Besides, I never got to hear the other ones, the links stopped working the moment I had the hardware & software to listen to them. :indiff:

EXelero - Great bases for a very interesting interview, that about sums it up. đź‘Ť

I agree. đź‘Ť

I personally find the way it's laid out is tedious too - ie, it should be similar to how it's done in the interview linked in Diego's post - but it is your interview threads, so do what you please... But suggestions should always be noted to make it more popular.

I totally agree with EXelero, that format of interview would be much more interesting imo.
I must say that I prefer the straight to the point way the drifter interviews are handled.
Also, one more thing. Why do you only ask about 8 questions now TVR? Doesn't give that many people a chance to ask what they want. But the interviews seem just as long as the first ones even though there are fewer questions.
Just stick to the questions, tone down on the mindless chatter. That what I am thinking anyways.

Was a good interview and I say bring back the Podcast Bram, they were good. đź‘Ť

It's always been 8 and you know the person who set the drifter interview came to me to ask for some advice. However, why even the chances of mind, when you have been fine, with how the interviews, have ran before?

But Drift2XS I would not call it chatter just a chat show, but like I said I will cut the interview into two parts first part the questions and then the next day the chat show style parts.

However if anyone else has anything else to complain about then send me a email.

it's not complaining! It's constructive criticism!

complaint would be

"man, your interviews suck because you're a jackass and you don't know how to do it, maybe you should place your head inside the toilet and flush"

constructive criticism
Gee man, you know, there are ways to make these interviews better. You may already have a good idea about how to do them and other interviewers may have even come and asked you for advice before, but there's always room for improvement. I've suggested a few options for you to take and other members have done the same. Maybe they will help you in creating a better interview method.

See the difference?

LOL, this thread is becoming funny. I'm not going to repeat the same things. I had a good time reading the Bram's interview, great answers to know actually.
