Just tried the Roadster and it drops into neutral after the auto drive and won’t change gear manually after that. works fine in auto. Have the same problem with the Z8 in single player mode, but that works fine in the sport races.

Is this normal or a problem either with the game or my console? PS4 if that makes a difference.

cheers
Pete

Do you mean this? I'm in manual here and I see no problem. Can you post a clip of what you mean OP.

Exactly that, except after it says start the gear indicator changes to N and the car just trundles round the track and the paddle shifts don’t do anything. Have the same thing with the BMW Z8. If I change the assist to auto then it works fine.

I will have a go on an alternative account in a while and see if that’s the same, but it looks like it’s a problem my end somehow. Shame as it looks like it could be a fun car to play with.

I’ve just bought one for my other account and its the same. Looks like a problem with the console perhaps.

Thanks for the responces.

The transmission in it is a 1930s Ford Top Loader manual. (28/16 "2.82" if you Google it)
So it should work with your shifter.

It’s a G29 wheel. Works fine for every other car except those two as far as I can see. First noticed it when I used my Z8 to try and practice in single player mode on Saturday for daily race A and that went straight into N after the countdown. I bought a second car to see if that made any difference but that was just the same. But when I used the same cars in race A on Monday it all worked fine, no problems in manual mode.

just tried the Z8 again, works fine in race A but not in single player mode.

I’ve got another PS4, I’ll load the game on it over the weekend and see if that’s any different.

Again, thanks for the replies.

It's this.

Is your clutch pedal stuck on a little bit?

Seems more like a problem with your controller, as @Pigems suggested; did you use the same controller both times?

The clutch is disabled in sport mode which is why it's fine in race A.

It’s obvious when it’s pointed out.

I swapped the clutch and accelerator springs last weekend, and it was after that I had the problem. Will take them apart again to sort it out.

feeling a bit stupid at the moment, but thanks to everyone for their help.

cheers

Pete.

You don’t have to swap them back. Just go into the pedal calibration in game, and add enough dead zone to nullify the amount of clutch that is on naturally now, and it should be fine. My brake pedal is the same, it sits idle at 4% brake engaged, because I have the stiff springs in it. So I have to do the same and add some dead zone at the start of the brake.

Thanks Pigems, will give that a go.
