If I recall correctly, when the NSX TT came around the car wasn't even available to purchase from the UCD. So if you didn't already have it you were SOL. Sure, you could rent the car but since it was a tuning event, renting a stock version would've been quite uncompetitive and a waste of time.
That + Nord (hey, you either love it or hate it) + tuning = likely why the participation was so low. My guess would be mostly because of the first reason, but of course cannot quantify that in the least.

Here are some statistics for TT116 at Red Bull Ring in the Porsche Mission X '23. It was very middle of the road with outcomes close to average almost across the board.
Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs remained at 54.
- Well done to @bliprunner @Vule @A_Higher_Place @TheNormsk @feral and bad @snc and me! on personal best placings.
The attached Excel file has this scoreboard as well as results for all TTs for everyone on the scoreboard.

Thanks, was a funny TT, got to 21.3 in session one with TC0, heard recommendations of TC and put it on 1 and went quickly to 21.1 because it added so much confidence. So from there I had to go for a 20 because obviously that would be easy...
Nope... was really hard! But happy to hold on for a top 10. Congrats to @MR-CERF on P7 and the forum P1 🚀

I still cannot believe I was 1st in Canada and got an alien badge out of that mission X TT. That isn't supposed to happen for me! I don't think I'll be topping 38 any time soon. My average place still seems really high after that - gotta keep chippin'

Minor correction on the Nurburgring time trial - bronze is 20% slower than the top time because it is a special time trial (tied to the GTWS). That's the only reason I have hope of getting money from it.

And as bliprunner says, a time under 20 seemed easy, but it was a bit difficult to put together on a lap. Especially as the optimum time was 20.6. It was fun anyway

I don’t know how you did it. Well actually I do. You’ll were much better at the last turns that me. That was my kryptonite.
The most depressing point of last night was when I had a time of 1:21.250 and I was .27 up only to not nail the penultimate turn and then watch my real-time interval time change from .27ish up to around .3 down. So not only did I lose a potential sub 1:21 time I ended up at a pitiful 1.21.6x time. That was the story of my night. Still... top 60!! 👽

It is probably difficult for a lot of people to register a valid time in general? Another difficult track like Tokyo Expressway also had a huge dip.

Here are some statistics for TT118 at Nürburgring 24h in the Gran Turismo Red Bull X2019 Competition. Although the difficulty-o-meter shows 22nd, it would be 2nd was it not for the bronze threshold being lifted to 20%.
