Take on Dan Greenawalt in Forza 7 November Bounty Hunter

Got up to a 1:38.252. Dont think I'll be going much faster than that.

May give it another go if Greenawalt beats my time but I'm not that bothered if I don't get the Lykan

Don't have a fast lap set yet but I'm sitting at 1.38:xxx for now at least. Hopefully I wont have to update it because it wasn't my favorite combo.

Weird, I'm loving this combo. The Shelby's always been a favourite though, and I've easily done a few thousand laps at Laguna since GT2.

I find the car very forgiving, and it definitely benefits from a slow-in-fast-out approach. You can straight-line the Corkscrew pretty severely without dirtying your lap too, if you do happen to make a mistake there.

I beat Dan on my second lap, and ended up with a 1:36 after a dozen. That should be good enough...

Toying with the idea of piggybacking off this for a GTP giveaway. :D

Dan loves to cut corners it seems (much like the game he works on). It's very frustrating to see Dan sliding out through every corner and only really making up time by taking what looks like incredibly questionable lines.

We can take the same questionable lines so I’m not gonna lose sleep over it.

When I watched Dans replay I saw at least 3 places where I thought the lap should have been flagged as dirty but wasn't. He really did a poor job on the first corner in the replay i watched, he could probably make up close to 1/2 second there without much trouble.

Did 16 laps and got a 1:40.811 think that’s the fastest I’ll get. I don’t know what to do I brake where the braking line is and I’m using 3rd gear for most of the easier corners I have all assists off except braking line and ABS, I’m using manual without clutch too.

My lap in the GT350, which just about got me into the Top 3000 as of last night.

I really enjoy the car/track combo but I'm not overly quick with it. Yet to nail down a lap I'm happy with, always making a mistake here and there. After 12 laps I got down to a 1.38.95.

Im in the mid 35's consistent and done around 40 laps in total, but how people are doing 33's is just insane. im at the point where if i get a + in splits im getting to nervous and screw up :nervous:

It seems its the last part of the track after the corkscrew im struggeling with the most, and iv been racing on this circuit since GT1 :guilty:

I managed a 1:35.5 while slightly oversteering through almost every turn after just under 30 laps, I feel like I can push into the 1:34s with some more practice.
(best lap starts at 22:10)

I’m so used to late braking for races I do it in these timed events also, I may try again and see if I can break that habit.

Hi guys! I changed from GT6 to FM7 and I like it. I drove a 1:38:291. I have some questions: I recently discovered its quikcer to drive without ABS? Is that true? And secondly: How do I know that my lap did not count? In GT6 the timer immediately went red...

PS: Whoops, just noticed the triangle next to my time. So that means invalid lap time! :-)

Not sure how true the ABS thing is but I don’t use it and do seem to run faster.

UPDATE: just seen from Dan Greenawalt twitter speer is he's improved his time to a 1:38.345......he do his last times on Friday at 5pmm PST.

myself, I have done a 1:37.2 so I feel I may have done enough, but may try to get under 1:37 to be safe.

though I'm not too worried if I don't get the lykan, the TT and 612 sound more interesting to get

I'm at 1:37.0 so I feel a 1:36.x is achieveable with a bit more track time.

Damn, I'm still on a 1:39.0. That being said one of the reasons that time is so high is because I just can't get the final corner right - once I get it right I'll have a consistently better run up to the first corner as well as a faster time overall.

Looking at your times makes feel like I suck. Lol. I can’t get out of the 1:41’s and that’s with me cookin too. I guess I not cookin good enough. Lol. Keep the Lykan, I just want that Ferrari.

I hope he has a busy thanksgiving, I’m not improving on my 1:37.3xx. This car and I aren’t getting along.
That’s a good time in my opinion.

Fastest I got was a 1:41. whatever don’t think I’ll get any faster with everything off.

I’m in the exact same boat too.

I want to see his replay, how do I go about doing so?

You can set him as your rival, add him to your friends list and then you can pick him and chase his ghost. I usually pick a time 1-2 seconds faster than me, if the rival I’m chasing is right with my time it messes with me when their ghost is right with my car.

I did that last night but his target time of 1:39:09 was displayed but his ghost was t anywhere on the track. I’ll try it again though.

Managed to get down to a 1:36.940 with a lap I wasn't really pleased with, I'm definitely losing a lot of time through the Corkscrew and subsequently the Rayney curve that follows... I might be able to get a 36.5ish with a LOT more practice, but I'm not holding my breath.

...And I have a lot of places where I can improve. I'm at a 1:40.XXX (away from the PC at the moment). Over all I was surprised that the Mustang was that easy to control. I was expecting a lot of tank slippers and power oversteer, but thankfully the car failed to meet those expectations. I'm trying again in a few hours... I'm confident that I'll beat Greenawalt's time.

The only car I’m interested in is the participation prize, so I doubt I’ll guve this another go. The Giulia @ Mugello is a much more appealing combo.
