Take on Dan Greenawalt in Forza 7 November Bounty Hunter

Managed to get 1:36:9xx, had 1:36.5’s voided multiple times and called it a night. I’m terrible 2 and 3, 4 gets better then I’m playing catch up from there.

BoneSaw, that's pretty darn good for being terrible.

I just managed to beat Greenawalt's time. A few minutes ago I set a time of 1:38.988. It took everything I had and then some to do it. One thing though, I rather like the GT 350R. For a Modern Mustang, it's well planted and does everything I ask reasonably well. I wish I could get one in real life and in the game. Both seem to be impossible though.

Edit: Is it me, or are the restrictions allowing a tire upgrade for those who own the car? And if no one but Greenawalt owns the car in the game, and did run with sport tires; then I feel pretty darn good beating his time on stock tires.

I've got bad news for you:

@*$%#!

He just can't draw a line in the sand, and leave it alone! Frickken Greenawalt!

That's also what I get for not using Twitter.

I'll head back out to California after lunch.

The in-game part is easy, the GT350R is unlocked through one of the Ken Block showcases in career mode. Can't remember if you have to unlock the Elite championships in order to get it or if it's in the early events, but either way, it's accessible with a bit of play time.

I improved to a 1:37:876. Definitely much faster without ABS, but I have difficulty getting used to it. I'll leave my video here as I always did in GT6 events, maybe it helps somebody.

Well I’m looking at my friends times and some of the guys here like unshavenyapper might as well be running 1:25 lol. I see lots of room for improvement, I’m just short on time these days.

1:25? What type of dark arts are they using to obtain that sort of skill? I'm wondering if they are running stock or tuned?

I’m exaggerating, he’s in the1:35’s. I’m pretty sure everyone is stock, I have the car but no option to use a tuned car or even change tire pressure. Most of these events like this are stock car for everyone to keep it fair.

Did 1:39.530 with gamepad and assists similar to Dan's.
There was no more time bcs of Juve-Barca CL, but I think that 38.300 is reachable.

Automatic new invalid laps are main factor that is frustrating.
If i made 1 mistake, then I go on edge and little over it, to see what im maybe missing - there should be no multiple laps penalties in TT!

I wonder how low Dans going to get? I’m down to a 1:37.368, I can probably get into the 1:36’s, I’m not going to have a ton of time to race in the next few days though. Is Sunday the last day?

I've been deliberately avoiding hot lapping, but I might have to set a "real" time with this one. :)

Edit: Yeah, I'm gonna roast that Greenawalt guy hard.

I was aiming for a time below 1:38...

You can only use a rental, even if you own it.

The car gets a tire compound upgrade to be homologated, but the time trial is with a stock, untuned car.

I'd wish i could do 25's :D

I just cant see how people are running 33's, havnt checked lately but im sure someone is in the 32's. I consider myself a decent driver and im giving it all i got, but still waaay slower then the top guy's. Maybe im just getting too old :nervous:

Good to know. Turn 10 should really turn off the Homologation info when it's not being applied. That's what was confusing me.

I'm simply to nervous when I have good lap.
Yes, not quick enough without wheel.

And second, from yesterday getting error:

"you will need internet for this"

...that is resulting with game restarting and losing all progress.

His time still hasn’t changed off the 1:38.478, so he only has 3 more hours to improve his time if he honors his statement. I really hope he doesn’t improve too much, I’m burnt out on this rivals event.

Dan’s got a new time, 1:37.693.

Edit: Son of 🤬 now he’s at 1:37.343. That’s .025 seconds ahead of me.

Ah crap, I was really hoping that my 1:37.557 would have held. No matter, I only really wanted the 612.

So Dan is "near" pro, that makes this bounty only bad mood maker for most of the community.

If i only have a wheel...

Edit: ok, he's not a pro, but he made lap that is too high stake for most.

I'm still not giving up, that's the rule and bright side of events like that - they are helping people to push over their limits

No need for a wheel to get that lap time, just need to practice. Looking at the replay I saw it was pretty clear that Dan was using a controller.

Another 1:37:2XX here, phew! I even managed a dirty 1:36:9XX, but that was a lap ruined from the beginning due to a rewind in the 3rd corner, the game wouldn't let me rewind until after the finish line, so the whole lap was in vain, ouch.
