Your all a bunch of babies, Its just a game.
I have the game i love it, i race with my steering wheel (force pro) and i have the most fun, i dont care about top times although 381mph does sound like super fun.
Who cares who does it or who done first and with whose settings, ITS A GAME, Have fun.

You got that right! Top speeds are fun and all, but the game, at the end of it all is about racing. Control. Speed, yes, but flat out speed is just dragging. Myself, I drive the game to see how far I can push the limits of a car and still have it DRIVEABLE . Theres' no use in a 350+mph vehicle if you just smear yourself all over the wall in the first turn, and all other turns thereafter. True driving skill is why I bought the game. To me, just running top speed is silly, kinda like Nascar. Any jerk can drive around in a circle in the same car as everyone else. It takes a true driver to tackle a course like Nurburing.

Still, if these guys wanna go teats out for speed, I don't see that they should be slammed for it. It's their game, after all. Whatever floats yer kayak.

good point and good job reachin the top speeds and all. as for the guy that claimed his settings were stolen....i like to say if you have the best possible settings theyre gonna be copied because out there someones gonna figure it out just like you did. This thread should be killed...that fast car wouldnt win a race on a race track

I tuned the suspension to my liking, and the settings are pretty damn similar to the maker of this thread.

It's not stealing settings, everyone has the same thing in mind: Speed.

And for that reason, settings are going to start looking similar. Which would be the same as saying. YOU USED THE GT-ONE JUST LIKE I DID, YOU ARE TRYING TO STEAL WHICH CAR I USE FOR HIGH SPEED TESTS.. Come on, give me a break, and him while you're at it.

By the way, I hit 330+ MPH Without a wheelie, noteven the front lifting up on the Audi R8.

Hey! Someone else who actually tunes for top speed without using this lame wheelie glitch.

👍 to you, sir.

For all of you who have nothing better to say omg back to kindy for y'all sound like a bunch of lil kids arguing ova playdough this is a forum i havent been on for a while(Initial-D R-34), and for people to come back to a forum that was once so informative and positive has now changed to an argumentative and negative forum maybe there should be something done about negative pointless posts, not trying to make any enemys here just wanted to get my point across look forward to reading more posts from you all

You may want to study this horrid sample of writing before sending anyone back to kindy!! :scared: I don't make a habit of calling people on their grammar in the boards, but this is just pathetic. :dunce: I don't mean to exemplify your point about negativity, however if you wish to get all superior with others, you might want to at least attempt to be intelligent about it. :irked:

I have a friend who got over 900 mph in GT3 with the Escudo. 400 is pretty good, but its not anything to brag about when you do a wheelie. Thats only the beginning. When real tuners get into this the record is prob. going to reach over 900 just like in GT3. My advice is, if you have a really good top speed say if you did a wheelie to get it or not. It makes a big difference and pisses people off when you dont say you did.

his grammar looks fine to me...what're you talking about? did you mean punctuation? i didn't have any problem reading what he posted.

First of all, if the car is actually going that fast in simulation, it just shows a weakness in the games physics. There are several shortfalls in the game that seems to favor some cars.

What's the point of going that fast anyway? It's overkill.

I am pissed at how they portray the 2005 Ford GT. The real stock version hits 235 MPH, but not in the game unless you go max NA power. I'll bet the brakes and handling are better than the game version too.

The real stock version hits 205 straight from the Showroom.
And one that had a few things taken off only hit 212Mph.

Drop about 30Mph off that. And of course the brakes and suspension are better.
They totally messed it up.

I doubt the so-called "serious tuners" can get up to 900 mph in GT4. I've personally gotten 1300mph in a GT-ONE in GT3 (try it sometime, it's a hell of a lot easier to wheelie than the omnipresent Escudo), but as soon as I got onto a test track in GT4, I realized that it would be impossible. The physics are just far too different to allow 1000mph++ speeds, as these rely on the GT3 physics engine sticking your car's rear-end to the ground and allowing the engine to overdrive the rear wheels with 0 kg of weight on them.

380mph in GT4? Wow. Okay... people getting all hot and bothered over holding such a low speed record? yawn...

yeah it must of been easy for you to get a high speed while cheating. if its such a low speed whats your record in gt4?
if your curious mines 349mphs so far

Wow, you must know ALL the cheats. I'm so impressed. What's your top speed in a properly tuned car with no stupid parlour tricks? I'm betting it doesn't come close to your mystical 1000mph+ quote. Any speed that high is the result of cheating. End of story.

No duh. But all the cheats/tweaks are WITHIN the game engine. I got to just about 400mph with the Escudo in GT3 before I stopped seriously trying. After I heard about the wheelie trick, I tried all the combinations of cars and settings I could before I hit on the GT-ONE. I could only get the Escudo to 900mph.

In GT4, I haven't gotten the Escudo yet. I've only gotten up to around 260-280, but I haven't been consciously trying to set any records. Maybe I should see how far a car can go...

You completely miss the point. Capitalizing on programming errors or shortfalls in the physics engine of the game does not make it legit to cal yourself some kind of tuning genius or record holder. Cheats are cheats whether they are by design or mistake. But go ahead and have fun with your 1000mph joke cars. I challenge that with a properly tuned car I will clean up the track with you on any driver's track, driving in control and by line while you bounce around happily from wall to barrier on every turn. Until someone can explain to me how 1000mph capability will help in the slightest at Nurburing, I will always consider it just a parlour trick. I can make my two year old nephew squeal with joy, but it doesn't mean I really pulled the quarter out from inside his ear.

Fastest I've managed is 507.xx km/h (311mph+ approx) without cheating. Clocked it on the fastest speed circuit going forward only on track too. Tested it before hand extensively though to make sure it would get up to speed fast enough. I can't seem to get any faster though no matter what I tweak. Was in MINOLTA 88 btw.

Thank you for your valuable contribution. This is the tuning and settings forum where, to quote Jordan, we "request, share, and discuss the best set-ups for any car in GT4." Please help us build mutual respect by posting appropriately. Non technical posts or boasts are better received in the "GT4 Write-Ups" forum, where are posted "detailed race descriptions and stories".
