Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the latest addition to the 488 family. Called the SP38 Deborah it takes inspiration from the F40 (if you squint really hard you can see it). Based on the stock powertrain the new exterior was penned by Flavio Manzoni.

I swear it looks more red-Diablo than an F40. Although the five-spoke star wheels are decent until they get a recreation made and the Civic downtown starts using them

Though the anterior and the posterior seem a bit... ...Off, the side is fine, but I can't imagine that with the anterior styling they've went with that a head-on shot would look too good, the problem I'd think relies on the fact it uses a big vaguely-hexagonal grille, though I could be wrong in that regard if a head-on photo looks fine. And the exhausts are too high up, which also compromises the posterior design a fair bit into making it look less F40 hommage and more modern Diablo.

I like the back end, front not so much and i just don't see the resemblance to the F40?

Why am I looking at a Lotus Evora?

I see more homage to the 288 than the F40, but that's stretching it. Cockpit definitely looks like a Stratos though, and a lot of people see Lamborghini in it.

Going to a big female enthusiast of Ferrari in Switzerland I think though, so that's a good positive for it.

The only part that resembles a Huracan is the headlamps. Which look like a road legal variation of the 488 Challenge headlamps. Any word on cost of this thing?

Strange, I like the front end but not the back end. The back end seems to be complicated.

The overall car looks fantastic. I was never a Ferrari fan but the last few years, Ferrari makes gorgeous cars.

To my eyes, I see a lot of influence from late 70s and 80s Ferraris, particularly the 308 GTB, 288 GTO, and 512BB. Not so much F40, as others have noted, though.

The only features that resemble the F40 that I can see are are the rear slatted “window” and the low rear spoiler.

Nevertheless it’s an absolute beauty - and this is coming from a Porsche fan.

Hats off to the owner - it’s a dream for most people to own a Ferrari, but to own a unique custom works Ferrari is something else.

Nice job to the designers, they outdid theirselves now.

The car was built for https://www.instagram.com/dc4racing/, as a special gift for himself and his wife Deborah (Full name of the car is "SP 38 Deborah", painted in a bespoke shade of red called "Deborah Red". So yeah, you can see this guy is clearly in love with her). Anyway, he also owns a FXX K (#8), a 599XX Evo (#19), a 488 Challenge and a couple of 488 GT3s, as pictured below, and several other road-going Ferraris.
