I wish more games would have Porsche and RUF. It's cool that more games can have access to Porsche now but RUF makes some great cars in their own right.

I imagine Lexus's absence from games is a byproduct of Toyota's absence given that they're spun off from Toyota.​

Now, The Crew 2 isn’t the first game to feature both manufacturers (and yes, RUF is a manufacturer in its own right). Other games have had both, namely Assetto Corsa and the Forza franchise. But in both cases, Porsche arrived post-launch.

Technically, Gran Turismo 3 had Porsche and RUF. The 911 GT3 was hidden in the code.

I wonder if the next Gran Turismo, if it is more similar to it's predecessors, would have both as well. I mean, they did always have tuner versions of cars (NISMO, TRD, etc.), and I liked that, having pre-tuned cars, as well as the different "trims", like the R32 GTS-t and GT-R.
As long as it's not overdone I think it's really cool.
