My guess is GT had a 2 year deal which lasted until October obviously. One month of negotiating is about nowish, and another month of building hype and here we are.

It's been stated elsewhere, but I'm guessing a timed exclusivity deal was the most likely reason.
I'm ecstatic Toyota is making a return to Forza, hopefully it is a sign of things to come for other games in the genre. 👍

During Forza Monthly, Turn 10's Jon Knoles also reminded viewers that Toyota vehicles of Forza's past require some polish to bring them up to standard.
