3k drag community

Been in the drag community for a long time and raced a lot of guys. And then took a long break from gt5 after which I realised the3k community had almost disappeared I just wanted say that allisee nowadays in the drag community is based on a lot of quarter mile drag racing,and many teams dedicated to this too.i tune only for 3k so I just wanted to know if there are any3k racers around or has everyone moved over to quarter mile, what happened to the3k community

I preferred the tunnel, when people migrated to ssrx when it came out I tried but didn't like the drab sterile environment at ssrx, totally lost interest and never went back to the tunnel. I don't think I'm the only one. The fast paced racing in a good 1/4 mile room on a bright sunny day at Indy became more fun...to me anyway.

WDIF are back ion, try there rooms with ct mastakilla and the rest, maf stil gets on too.

past few months i have been on and off, busy with other stuff

hard to find good rooms. there is a weekly competition held every Saturday night(north America). it gets mixed reviews, 2 cars per Saturday, the winner of each car chooses the next car. if you get ghost lag or don't have quick reaction time, its not for you.

i usually jump between route x and ssr 7 and run random people. most the time, teams make private lounges. there doesn't seem to be new people getting into it, just the old people and when they leave, the competition pool just gets smaller.

its rare you find new people, and if there are, its hard for them to progress because they cant run or find the good racers to run with to fine tune their cars

Most AWD are less successful on long distance drags than quarter mile because of the added drivetrain weight from the AWD. They'll get a good launch, but not as good pull. Not all AWD, but a lot.

I do 3k.

Im a master at 1/4. At 3k its harder to flip the trans i experiance. Especialy for my ek rm. Im a little slow. Anyone here has experiance with 3 k ek rm tunes ?
I cant find much on this site about 3k transmition.
at 1/4. I flip mine between 3500-3800.
at 3k no idea. Some info of my ek=

5th and 6th to the right

But i feel something is wrong. Any tips ?



I host a room for 3k called integra and ek 3k drag all are welcome.

I remember I flipped mine at 4500, but that was 2+ years ago...

And midnight, that applies to FR, but not FF.

I did try that. What i get is fast launch. And at 1500m all pass me haha.
till now 5000-5500 worked for me.

Some guys talk about ballast on 3k. Whats ur opinion on 3k ballast?

I tried it on 1/4 works perfect, But on 3k it doesnt seem to work for me , so i dont use it.

Rip ff cars is fun.
I can sit a whole day and tune them.

@rip yea same here man 4wd and 3k don't usually go together.
@crazycrunk in my opinion ballast is only helpful for top speeds

Using ballast will make it only worse no matter where you put it.it doesn't help in 3k drags.

hey guys, when I get back from my vacation I plan on hitting the tunnel, de la Sartre, and X track hard with some 3k. I'm learning now, but I hope I can really excel in 3k.

currently working on viper cars...I'm really starting to like 3000 meter drags

We should get on and form a lobby. I formed like two or three a few days ago for low-powered cars, and a total of 4 people joined (but one stayed there for an hour and we tuned). I haven't tuned any high-powered cars yet, as I like to keep it as realistic as possible, but I'll tuned some. I'm sure other members would join if we would make an announcement.

I'm not really into under 500 hp, I'm a southern speed freak who is very impatient lol...I'll post in this thread if I have a room up for 3k and I can post ahead to see if people would want to join us. I'm getting back either Monday night or Tuesday.

ps: got the supra rz to go 226-228 at the end of the tunnel the other day

I don't really have any high-power cars tuned for 3k. I won't be ready till next saturday/sunday though. But if you do post ahead, try and post ahead 1 day and list the main cars that you will be running so people can tune them.

I'm not looking for tunes, but just people that would want to 3k drag without complaining and go back to 1/4. I just need time to get good at. I'll add you and when I get one of my lobbies up, us 3 and anyone else can drag all day.
