To me, they look very close as if distant cousins.live4speedWhere?
Except for different front ends and the Rapide having a sleeker look, the cars do look quite a bit alike.

It's been on a couple before, but to me, the name Rapide doesn't make me think of something thats class which this car is. It's a classic Aston name, but I don't like it all the same, love the car, hate the name.RSCosworthLooks like the name "Rapide" has appeared on Astons before: Lagonda Rapide, a four door saloon based on DB4.
VIPFREAKI'll take a Rapide any day over a Quattroporte (I hate that name too).
Topgear"It would be great for Le Mans," he suggests. "You could even sleep in the back." And you probably could, with the rear seat backs folded there's room for one - or indeed two - six footers to stretch out.
Marek Rechman (Who is 6ft 5inch)I can sit in the back in absolute comfort.
Daily Telegraph MotoringIn fact, while the rear seats are somewhat cramped for a 6-footer, children and smaller adults should find them perfectley acceptable.
240ZEh...it's not bad looking, I'd take it over an S-class but not over a M5. It looks very "aftermarket" to me, not unlike some of those horrid Lamborghini Diablo strech limos. Seeing as it was not done by Aston Martin themselves, and looks like it shares a lot of parts with the DB9 (obviously) it's not suprising.
