After i did the suzuka 1000km endurance in an FGT (cause i really don´t like that track and wanted the race over as fast as possible, don´t have an X1) and it took me about 5:30 hrs, i drove the 4 hr Nordschleife yesterday.

Cause i love the NS, i took a car that i like really much too:

Nissan Skyline R34 (the standard car, white coloured version with black hood)

modded (round 595 PP)

- 631 HP about 1230 kg
- Backwing
- full customized suspension
- racing medium tyres

Top speed on Döttinger Höhe straight was overall 300 km/h

The feeling, when i started the race was awesome, no match to suzuka ^^

Drove the first 4 rounds, managed to get a 15 second lead and made the mistake NOT to pit, cause i thought "ah one more lap will go".
A half round later the front tyres where flat and i found myself to hit the walls a few times. So the ai on place 2 (HPA TT) and 3 (S2000 GT1) overtook me after 2/3 in round 5 AND extended their lead to +15 seconds.

The HPA TT went into the pit but the S2000 GT1 did not!

While i was standing in the pit, got my new tyres and the to 2/3 emptied tank filled, another 6 cars passed. Out on the track again, the S2000 had a lead about 1:22 minutes. I knew that his tyres should be down, so i pushed my R34 to the limits and catched at the end of round 6 to +15 seconds up.

The S2000 pitted as expected and i was in the lead again. Next pit stop of mine was after round 9. With a comfortable lead (45 secs), i did the same mistake as earlier this race.....pitted to late and had to sneak around half the track.

After that mistake the rest of the race went smooth. In round 25 my lead was 1:45 minutes and i had 20 minutes to go. So i slowed my pace down, crossing the finish line with 10 minutes left to go the last round. The ai pitted in round 26 again so my lead was 2:30 minutes.

I have to tell you folks, these last 10 minutes in that last round felt so awsome. If i could, i would have waved out of the window while slowly driving those last 22km. I found myself hitting the horn in areas with many "ppl" standing while cruising by with 90km/h.

Though it is a video game, i now have a slight idea, what it feels like to drive the winning round in a real endurance race. So awesome!

its very simple
i did this race on full stock Ferrari F40

Just did the race too, the track is so awesome, that I drove the 4 hours at once (only one stop for the toilet;)).
Next one to do is 9h Tsukuba:(. I would rather race again at Nürburgring.

I haven't done the 9hr yet either. I've done the 4 hour 3 times now and am more than likely going to do it again this weekend.👍

Same here, did the Nürburgring 4 hour race yesterday in a single stint and won by a huge margin!
(the only time I left the cockpit was for a quick pee, lol)

Car: Nissan Calsonic Impul GTR 08, Stage 3 Turbo, 638 power points
2nd placed AI car: R8 LMS Race Car 09
Pit: every 4 Laps
Gas per lap: 10.4 liters
Best lap: 8:13
Worst lap: 9:13 (Pitstop + blocked by slower cars)
Highest speed: 311 km/h ~ 194 mp/h
Final lap lead over 2nd placed car: 6:58
Laps: 28

It would have been a close race as the Audi R8 LM is a quick car but it always pitted one lap too late and lost nearly a minute in the lap before doing the pit stop spinning all over the place. :indiff:

And has anyone noticed the RUF Yellow bird spinning out in every single corner? Wow! Totally scary to overtake, I've never even seen the car, it was always engulfed in a black cloud. :scared:

I am new here but the Tsukuba track sucks. It is used so often in so many events to race around and around for hours is nothing I am looking forward to.

Hmm such a huge lead (6:58 wtf) sounds lame... I still have not touched any endurances but I´m close to start my first. I will choose a car to win with an maximum lead of few seconds... I only hope to find such an car...

@tony_panda

How close was it with an stock F40??

I used a 600 Horsepower Corvette Z06 (2004). Use Sports:Soft tires (like your competition).

I only won by 25 seconds.

I did Indy 500 for the first time a few weeks ago in 787B, was pretty fun actually, won by maybe 1 or 2 laps :)

Sounds good, I´ll give it a try... 25 secs are good, if you make an mistake you must have an buffer :dopey:

Haha yea, it was still a little closer than I wanted. Although, in the six hour 1000KM of Suzuka race I won by only 1.8 seconds. I'm certainly in the habit of cutting it very close....

Did a test for this race this morning. I gave it a try with my S2000 '06 but it just doesn't have the stones to run this race on SS tires. I don't want to run racing tires and have to reduce horsepower. That results in the AI running away on the straights and me running away in the corners. I prefer to have things more even.

Next I decided to use the HEP G37 with SS tires. It felt really good and was running competitive. I don't know the ring very well so I have to go maybe 95% through some sections. I was doing 8:40 laps. Me and the Yellow Bird were within a couple of seconds the whole time. It was the best most even racing I've had vs the AI.

But here's the thing. There was an R8 LMS in the race. He was driving away from me by 20 seconds a lap. That car is completely out of place in this event with a bunch of tuner cars. He was in a class by himself and the rest of us were racing for second.

It was only a test run. I never intended to do more than a few laps this time. But I learned that the HEP G37 is a great car for this event, and that I won't run it with that R8 LMS in the field.

As a newcomer to this website, I read with interest your comments about Nordschleife. From the descriptions of the machinery you have been using, has no one ventured to use any liveried works race prepared cars?

Lap times in the 4-hour Endurance race of 8:30 are about right, but according to the GT5 game, the official real lap record with Nissan GTR 2007 model is 7:29+. Have yet to attempt to break that, but only yesterday I did it in 7:18+ in a standard Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI race prepared from purchase car, under race conditions.

I have my Bob doing the 4hr Nurb endurance race right now. He is on Lap 10 1hrs 13minutes in. I have him in the FGT hoping to make a huge lead so when his endurance runs out he will be able to make a few mistakes and not lose his lead.

My main Bob is lvl33 and I'm trying to get him to 35 for the free X2010.
