I have 6x lvl 40 bobs but no 2J so it will be the 787B stealth, if I can't do it with my bobs there's gunna mass sackings!!

I know they recommend lvl 35 bob for Sarthe but I'm curious to know; What's the lowest level BoB to win it? Anyone got a story on their champion lower level Robert taking it out??
I did it with a level 30 and 27 in the R8 '05 with the "super wing". Pit on lap 2 and lap 7, and crossed the line about 10 seconds in front of the AI R8.

Then I tried it right away again and got 4th even though my drivers both gained a level. :ouch: Don't know if the first one was just pure luck or if I changed too many things... Second try both my drivers' mood turned "arrow down", I lowered the downforce to default thinking I'd pass more on the straights, and I changed pit stops to laps 3 and 8.

evoflash and some other guy here recommended Toyota GT-One.

Great alternative than the fridge car.

My race went:

Level 31 Bob (Hot Headed), start with RH tyres.

By end of Lap 2, pit for intermediate tyres.
Use the same Bob.
I came out in 11th.

By end of Lap 7, pit for intermediate tyres.
Use Level 30 Bob (Cool-Headed)
I came out in 5th.

By end of lap 9, I had overtaken to 2nd, lead car (Audi R8 Race Car) pitted and bingo.

Lap 10: Remember to slow down your Bob to blue zone as the tyres degrade real fast.

Won the B-Spec LeMans-seasonal race in 39:51,400. Around 55 seconds in front of the 2nd. (he didn't finished ...) :)

Btw. nice you can get the price money over and over again. 6.000.000 cr. in 40 minutes = 9.000.000 cr. in 1 hour.
Not bad, for pressing a few buttons, in my opinion.

Details:
- Toyota Minolta with 1041 hp, front downforce: 60, rear downforce 50, (870 Kg) +20 Kg weight at the front to get in
the 700 pp limit, 269 mph max., brakes 3 (front) 8 (rear)
- a not really good level 40 b-spec driver, form of the day: down/bad
- tactic: starting on racing hard tires, pit stop after round 2 - got intermediats, pit stop after round 8 - got intermediats

With 2 better bobs i could go even faster than this time. But i don't want to use them offline ...
because their form is good/up, after this race it would be bad/down and it's to hard to get it on good/up again.
Thanks this worked for me! 👍

I don't have the DLC D:
I tried with a V-Spec regular GT-R fully tuned and got up to second, lost by 2 seconds (4 TIMES!!). I'm going nuts everyone saying this is so easy and I'm having the hardest of times.

Which car anyone else used for 650PP A-spec challenge?
Have you tried racing dirty then? The McLaren is fast and taking shortcuts and bumping will get you to first place. It's the dirtiest of dirty, but it might work...

While the A-Spec Online races are pretty easy, here's what I'm doing as a grinding tool:

I recycle until I get the Zonda LM at Grand Valley, then I pit various cars against him. Last night I did 3 races, went 2/3, and every race was decided within 1 second!!!! One was .025!!! The Zonda does the 5 lap circuit in +/- 9:05....

Crazy fun for 800k..........

For the B-spec Spa I used a Loctite NSX, full down force. Bob has just turned level 39. I was in first place on lap 3 and 44 seconds ahead on lap 8. They pitted and I didn't and ended up lapping 2 of them.

So if stuck, try a NSX with full down force, I had him on 320kph max speed as I wasn't sure at first but could lower to 290/300. Didn't change anything else other than HP to get him to PP level needed.

Both are very easy, too easy. The pay off is a bit excessive but hey, it's Christmas time. The Brickyard B spec was more fun to me even if the Bob's finished 2nd a third of the time.

I was a bit miffed that Spa is using the Super GT cars instead of GT and GT3 style cars like the 24 hour and all of the promotions they've been pushing.

Easy win for La Sarthe:

My car: R8 Race Car (Playstation Team ORECA) `05
I tuned it completely and then limited to 700PP
My Bobs: Lv. 36 and 35

Start with Hard Race tyres.
Pit after 2nd lap to continue lap 3 with Intermediates.
Pit stop after lap 8. Catch fresh Intermediates for the last two laps.

Coaching: Keep your Bob 75-80% hot

P1 in lap 4. Lost P1 after 2nd pit stop (most AI stop after lap 9). P1 after lap 9. Finished 1st without any problems.

Enjoy the credits... :)👍

tried it in an R10 only managed 4th then did it in the GT-ONE un-used,fitted mid turbo and tranny which was set to 242 mph

lap 1.8th.lap 2 pitted for inters in 7th.out in 10th. lap 4 up to 3rd most others are still pitting.lap 5 in 1st and stayed there pitted again end of lap 9 for RH. won by 32 sec's

lvl 39 bob only prompting was maintain pace to keep him midway in the red, last lap he was dead cold all the way a bit tired bless him

car is in share box if anyone want's to use it

Finally won the sarthe b-spec! With R8 Playstation.
138kg ballast, oil change and downtuned ecu to 700pp.
Pitted after 2nd lap from HR to Im, stayed around 4 place all this time, then pitted after 7th lap, Intermediates again. Top 3 pitted after 9th lap changing to RH, so I overtook while they were in pit. I kept faster that lap and was able to stay ahead 7 seconds. Bobs lvls 28 and 29, changed drivers all pitstops. Didn't believe it was possible without the 2J :)

Just did the LeMans event over lunch. Used the Speed 8 with Praiano's tune. Got first place with over 30secs to spare. Paced up for entire first 2 laps. Pitted at the end of 2nd lap for intermediates. Was 10th after pit. End of lap 3 up to first with AI all pitting. Kept medium pace until end of lap 8. Pitted for new set of int tires and changed drivers. Came out of put still in first by a few seconds. Kept medium pace and refused lit at end of lap 9. AI all pitted so had a huge lead by the end.

Did the Spa as well using intermediates throughout in Takata Do e with mid turbo limited to 600pp. One quite easily as well. I don't think I pitted at all

Finally beat this on about my 6th attempt. Used a minolta and pitted at the end of lap 2 for intermediates and again at the end of lap 8. Came out of my second stop in 4th but got the lead back at the end if lap 9, when the front 3 pitted. Won by 25 second on the end.

Other than the first two lap, when I pushed the whole time, I kept my drivers bang in the middle of the heat thing.

quite happy now, won a 2j as well

Just found out the Xanavi Nismo GT-R '03 can win the Spa event, if you don't pit. It can manage the 10 laps on one set of intermediates, which makes it one of the few standard Super GT (then JGTC) cars that can prevail against the premiums.

With Bob at the wheel that is...

Circuit de la Sarthe Race:

Chaparral 2J Top Speed set to 255mph and sport soft tires

Didn't pit and won by a good quarter of a lap :D

How much babysitting did you have to do or was this a fire and forget job?

If it was the later, fancy sharing your setup? If anyone has a way of winning this without having to do anything, this could be the ultimate b-spec grind...

I used the same setup as chrisdafer suggested:

2J race car
sports softs
tranny top speed 230 -the car will hit 220ish on straights.
ride height -10/-10
every thing else default

I did not pit once, the Audi R8 was on my tail laps 7-8, but then they pit so smooth sailing to the finish.

I will note my bob was out of everything by lap 9 (level 31). So the last lap he was fully depleted, I just kept him in the middle and he did fine.

Without pitting though, you only earn points for the driver and not your 2nd driver. I thought if you won, all the bobs get credit, I guess not. All my other bobs are level 0, with exception to the secondary driver who is level 7.

I'm exactly the opposite as most of you. Sarthe was easy but Spa is going to make me destroy something.

Takata NSX on inters and my bob is sliding like crazy. AND WHEN HE IS OFF TRACK HE WAITS FOR EVERY ONE TO PASS HIM BEFORE HE STARTS ACCELERATING LIKE A TURTLE.

I just won it, what I did was pit on the end of lap 5, and kept bob in the top 4 tell the the AI pitted, then I just made sure to keep bob clam on the last lap, he finished with the rear tires gone.

Here are the settings for the Audi that I used , did an oil change
HP 789
weight 950 kg
aero Front 50 rear 77
ballast 49/51
Ride height -22/-20
spring F 15.8 R 13.1
camber F 4 R 3.3

Just won Spa in a Mugen NSX with a Lv26 bod, intermediates from the start, changed to Hards lap 8....now for Sarthe.....gulp:-/

Ok, like a lot of you out there, I'm having a bit of a hard time with le sarthe, not bettered 7th yet...gonna be a long weekend :-(

Trying to do the first Autumn Ring Mini event. My Civic SiR-II '91 is too slow and the Berlinette R/S oversteers like HELL. Maybe I should try the Demio Sport. :indiff:

You'll get a laugh out of this. I only had a lvl 30 bob so I decided I needed a higher lvl one to help out with Sarthe. I made a new bob and proceeded to go to the Enduros. Entered my lvl 30 with two other lvl zeros. X2010 obviously is going to win no matter how bad they drove so I let it go all night on Grand Valley 300km until he could enter the others. Tsukuba 9h, Nurburgring 4h, and Suzuka 1000km were all next during the next day. I would just set it to go while I was gone. Come home to get a new car, some credits and 3 very high lvl bobs. One of them jumped from lvl 0 to lvl 32 overnight.

Now I have a lvl 31, lvl 32, and a lvl 35 bob in one day.

Sarthe isn't so bad now with the Audi R8 Oreca. Added High RPM Turbo to stop wheelspin, some ballast and detune to get 700pp. Little more downforce and that was about it. Start with RH, pit as usual with the others at lap 3, switch to inters, go to lap 8, pit getting fresh inters. Tap increase pace everywhere but the start of Mulsanne straight. They like to attack the sand box there.

Spa is really easy now. Takata Dome NSX, high rpm turbo, tuned a little, started with inters, lvl 35 bob. Pit at a little over halfway, lap 7 I think it was into inters. Not only did I get first by a huge margin, I had 7 cars lapped by the end.

I owned that event with a stock DOME Zero Concept.

The trick with the 2J is you need an aggressive driver, first time I used a lvl 40 aggressive driver and won. 2nd time I used a lvl 40 cool driver and came 3rd. Now I'm using a lvl 38 aggressive and have been in front since lap 4, on lap 7 now with an 8 sec lead over the Audi R8 01. Not much coaching needed, just keep it in the red and kick back

I used the FT86 Concept II, very easy

Ok, beat Sarth 6 times now. Here's how I did it and it's not bad at all now that I got the hang of it.

Used the Audi R8 Race Car (Audi Team Playstation Oreca) 05

Here's the tune I used.

Be sure to get the High RPM turbo to help with the wheel spin.

Lvl 35 bob and a lvl 32 bob

The trick is the switch off drivers mainly. That was the big secret I needed to figure out.

I could always get up to around 7th place or so and then they just drug off and eventually spun out badly on the last lap. It was because they are crap drivers even half way tired in that car.

Started off with the lvl 32 bob to start in Racing Hards. Punched the overtake button anytime I got near one of the other cars. Punched it until it was clear and hit increase everywhere except right before the Mulsanne Straight. That last corner they like to play in the sand too much so I always slowed them down for that.

I was about 7th place usually after some crappy driving on my bob's part losing a couple of spots here and there with one spin out the first time.

Pitted lap 3 grabbed 7 liters gas (not sure if you even need to) and intermediate tires, also switched drivers to my lvl 35.

Let him drive up until lap 9. Punched increase and overtake a lot until he got into first place. He was in first and starting to drive crappy by the time he got up there around 8th lap. When he got first I just let him cool down and drive in the blue the whole time so he didn't mess up.

9th lap I pitted with the other cars and went back to other driver who was fresh about that time and got a new set of inters. No gas.

By the time my lvl 32 driver got back on the track, I was still in first with a commanding lead. Drove in the blue the whole way and won with tons of time to spare.

Hope that helps the people who don't have a 2J. Now this would be a great time for that thing to show up in the UCD. Not much to buy right now. Guess I'll be buying that over expensive Alfa I like.

Oh and that Autumn Ring Mini event, just use the Dome zero concept or the FT86 concept like those two mentioned, they are the best ones, especially that FT86. You just blow through it with that car. It's what I used also.
