I dont remember how I got the GT-One, I think it was from some 24 hour race, its tough to find in all honesty. The Minolta has a slightly higher top speed perhaps, although I havent actually tested it. For a non-X2010 top speed race I'd pick the Minolta because you can just draft off of the Veyron then blow by in the corners.

before the 1.06 i've setted this speed
with the GT ONE without slipstream ...
454km/h= 282mph
With the bugatti ..i'm only at 446 km/h (277mph) (only one trial after the 1.06)
Bentley speed 8 .. 433 km/h (269mph)
I've many cars to test but the SSR7 is not 👎 a good track for speed test ..(IMHO)

Finally someone who agrees with me that you CAN reach 507 for like 1/2 a second if you get a perfect draft.

My SLR, Cien, GT, SL65, ACR, all hit 250 MPH if you get any of them you should be able to as well.
Cien is at 995 HP

You could get going almost that fast with most of the LMP race cars no downforce.
EDIT: NVM just re checked only able to get to about 420 with most cars
gonna have to call you a liar unless you have video proof because 455 isnt possible in the gt one without drafting. mainly because it isnt possible now for me without a draft when my gear ratios are adjustable and before 1.06 they werent, and even if i dont play with the individual ratios and set it at 450, 460, 470, 480 it doesnt go past 430 going either way on SSR7 with power maxed, fully broken in and oil changed.

Sorry Poppins, but on this one I'm telling you to jump in a lake and not act like a typical GT5 noob idiot!!
I-Runner is one of the most respected people on this forum for pushing the limits of Gran Turismo performance and has proved himself time and time again. Go look in the GT4 section where he has held world records on the 1/4 mile AND top speed areas. He's the only person in the world who got 400mph on the test course, and this was verified.
If he says he did it, I believe him and I know every single tuner from the GT4 days feel the same way about this. He has photo proof and if you look on the left side of the screen, you'll see that there are NO CARS around him or anywhere near him!! Do you see any blue arrows?? NO!! Only his red arrow.
Since this keeps happening with comments like, "oh you can't do that, you cheated, blah blah blah", this bit here is an open note to all the "haters" in the GT5 section. I'm starting to hate all the pessimistic members in the GT5 section, not just here in the tuning section but in every single sub-forum in the GT5 section, period!! Just because you can't achieve it doesn't mean it can't be done, so go learn how to tune properly, know your role and back away from the keyboard!!

I can vouch for you.. although you don't need it. My Veryon with 1242hp runs 280mph*edit* using custom gears.
I know how to tune properly, Its just the fact that I want to see video proof of him in 3rd person view not slipstreaming somebody before I beleive it.
Like I said, with everything tuned for max top speed (no toe or camber, aero at minimum, gears tuned to 50+ different configurations and beleive me i know how to tune better then 95% of the people on this forum, every single tune i read on here is crap, ive gotten my gt one to a MAX of 430~ km/hr without drafting with ANY gear config because i HIT the DOWNHILL tunnel at 410 km/hr, and its NOT possible to get 455 as thats nearly 25 faster then I have while im at 7400 rpm at 425 and BARELY pulling, its just not possible.
like honestly are you that ****ing stupid, there isnt even a camera view in GT5 like that and there never has been, that picture is from GT4 and i dont care what you say this loser is lying.
go try bumper cam in any car, it has normal circular gauges and always has been like that since the first day this game has came out
ON TOP OF THAT, go ahead and set your custom trans to 480 after defaulting it and not customising ratio's. at 454 km/hr he is at 7600 rpms when at 7600 rpm you are only able to reach 425, further proof that he is a liar.

funny how with his "top speed records" and with his bugatti only at 446, mines nearly 465 if i get lucky on ssr7.

The people of the 300MPH Leaderboard, and every ones who spent a lot of time in the Power&speed section of the PREVIOUS GT, know that it's not only the gear setting or the downforce and the engine power ..but a lot of other "elements" are involved in the REACH of the top speed and top acceleration...

Its just the fact that even when I set my tranny to the max it could possibly be when you did that Im still unable to reach the same speed at RPM that you do with minimum downforce no camber or toe and lowered ride height.
I just know that there isnt really anything I can do to increase my speed by 30 km/hr to what yours is at the same point (Im guessing you are running from the backside to the start point on ssr7 like I do.) When I am entering the tunnel at speeds of nearly 410 and it Isnt able to pull anything past 425 as the tunnel starts going uphill.
Ive also just gotten my Veyron to 285 miles/hr on the same track which is faster then Ive seen anyone else go which tells me that Im just not EVER gonna get another 30 out of that GT One.
I was also playing practise mode to make sure my GT One was fully broken in so maybe that would be a problem.
