I don't have the tune with me but what i did wasn't too fancy anyway. Kept the power stock, added 200kg ballast and then used power limiter until it reached 400pp. Brakes at 4/2 and tranny trick on the gears, most of the other settings were just set at neutral values.

Found it amusing P1 was using dirt tyres, just tried watching the replay and it's glitchy as
ok so what's the tranny trick..?

Tsukuba (again) + GSX-R + cheaters... something to look forward to
Can the 'people' of gran turismo tell if someone is cheating? because the top posts are always so far out ahead that it's not possible to me... I mean they don't even seem to hold proper racing lines etc...

Its amazing to me that PD still has not grasped the concept that using only a PP limit to define the cars for a TT is actually very limiting in what you need to use to compete. How hard would it be to simply pick a specific car or group that can be used for each TT?

They sometimes do what You want here, mostly when introducing a new VGT. And sometimes You are given a certain courtesy car You can win when golding...The Holiday TTs were as such...

But it could also be funny with power/weight TTs from time to time...Oh and the other TT on Brands are "a group of cars" like You asked for. They heard You man

I think I will try my Ford KA in this TT. Later. Don`t feel like driving GT6 right now...But tonight...

Ended up using a stock (with a bit of ballast) Lotus Europa '72. Not exactly fast, but it got gold and was good fun.

Just to get a quick set up to post a half decent time on. It's ok, I'm going to stick to the brands TT for today 👍

They listened and gave us low PP races! Great from PD. Scraped to a gold by a second or so with an MR2 Glimited Super Charger 86. That thing loves to swap ends with comfort hards!

Well, they did grasp it quite well in GT5 Seasonals, I seem to recall Miata and Mini only TT events for instance at Tsukuba. Maybe too many complaints about those came in and they've left them open mainly now. But then specific models of those cars then dominate so you're left with a locked down VGT example, or GT Academy which are the on true single spec competitions. Anyways, there's many ways to skin a cat and PD has done so.

For those looking for a lap time just to Gold the event without caring about the exact time and online rankings, which is what I did, here's my setup that got me Gold on the first lap (which was also the first lap I ever completed with the car in general):

Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01
  • Power Limiter 50%
  • Ballast Weight 26 kg
  • Ballast Position -50

Should be the Suzuki again be the king here. I met a Japanese using it on Trial Mountain Quick Match and he is lapping low 1:22.xx easily. Is this fast enough ? I can do 1:26 only , can't even close behind. Too bad he doesn't know English. I will post it here if I get it. Hope can get a faster tune to 1:23/24 should be very happy.

Not hard at all as they have done it a few times in GT5 just by giving us a certain courtesy car (no tuning) and letting us have at it. I think that's what they should do, just give us a certain car to run and be done with it. That would also eliminate all the tuning excuses. Everybody would be on a level playing field and the leaderboard would just be based on skill and skill alone. Separate the men from the boys. You can't properly tune a car in this damn game anyway, so just eliminate the tuning all together. Quite frankly, I'm getting tired of all this "glitch" tuning and using certain tuning parameters as on/off switches, if you will. I'm quickly losing my passion for tuning just for those reasons. So PD, pick a car for us to run and be done with it. Simple solution.
