Hi all!

Since GT6 is somewhat a new game and many of us are still learning the new physics and suspension tuning, let's do some casual racing to start with. The idea is to co-op the "league" so there are little limitations on days you/me/us can race! Basically, we (a friend and myself) can host Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri for sure with Sat-Sun being an option (someone else would need to host those days if available).

The rules are simple, be clean, fair and follow GTP OLR. We are open to suggestions for maximum clean and fair racing. The requirements are:

• 425PP Street/Production Cars (no tuners).
• Tuning is allowed.
• Only ABS, lane and TC allowed but its use is optional.
• Damage is light.
• Tire wear and fuel will be normal.
• Tires will be Sport Hard.
• Penalties will be light.
• Race finish delay set to 90 seconds.
• Slipstream set to real.
• Grip reduction set to real.
• No boost.

We would prefer to avoid cars that are pretty fast such as Elise, 86 GT or RX-8 to have an even field but will not be enforced. Since it's a casual league, tracks or cars are not set. We are aiming to either two short heats per track (10-15 minutes) or a single race (30 minutes) where a pit stop can be enforced to allow strategy during the race. Either way, a 5-10 minute qualifier will be in place. We can start towards the end of February to allow sign ups.

I would be interested in this. There is a weekly race starting in tonight (GMT) with similar settings, you might want to look in to that as well :)

What timezone are you racing by the way?

That's the good part! At least on Monday and Tuesday we can accommodate the time that best suit us all. I live in Virginia USA and I think most people on the forum live in Europe? If that's the case, we can race around 1:00pm EST? That would be around 7:00pm in Europe.

We can of course race whenever most of us can.

That would probably suit me pretty good. At least on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I work late on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I'm not available those days.

All right guys, we can start some racing on Monday! I will post the lobby number here or if you prefer, add me on PSN: ketiux.

I was looking at cars under the PP limit and there are a few I think you didn't mention things like the rally homogation for the older rally cars aka stratos etc and the beetle rsi. Anyways I will try to make the race on monday and give it a shot I'm a so so driver but I am tired of racing the computer

I'm totally interested. I'm guessing by no tuners you mean like spoon s2000 and cars like that. as long as I can run my 240z im in!
As far as time I really don't have a set schedule or rather I am unemployed so my days are pretty much free.
and for the "restricted" cars I think we can all form a gentlemen's agreement not to use cars that are too crazy. For example I will not use my stupidly quick arta garaiya.

I got my weapon of choice prepped and ready about as good as it is going to get. Don't care if I finish last but hey I found a car I like the handling of just would've liked a bit more low end grunt for hill climbing and corner exits

Alright guys!! It's time! Couple points to clarify better:

- By "casual" racing, it means we have little restrictions, so those of us who are kind of new can enjoy a car that has a good chassis (by that I mean it's stable or easy to drive/tune).

- As Devil240z pointed out, we can have a gentleman conduct and race cars that are no tuners (Spoon, Amuse, TRD).

So, with that in mind, I'll open a lobby and post the number here!!

Right now? darn, I am about to go grocery shopping. I hate food now.
Anyway I'm watching this thread so Ill be around. I'm totally into the casual idea. Not cause I"m new. just cause I'm too lazy to learn to drive without TCS. Time to start tuning my Z again.
Anyone who wants to add me on PSN is welcome.

This league is giving me a reason to play GT6 again.

That was fun. Gotta iron out some serious kinks in the Z.
I have anways been terrible with tuning.
I'm surprised its being so unstable, I have it at 1000kg with 50:50 weight distribution. But there is probably so much I don't know. Maybe my philosophy of 50:50 weight is all wrong...

Devil, while 50:50 is the ideal distribution, that's not always the case. If you can and want, we can get online to better tune that 240z, don't give up just yet!!

Other than that, absolutely great racing everyone! Specially SpeedyMcQueen, that final race was a joy!! Don't care so much for the win but for the pressure and the tension that one feels while racing... Definitely looking forward to more races like the ones today!

I wont give up on my favorite car so easily. until now my basic tuning philosophy has been to lighten the car, add weight to get as close to 50:50 as possible without going over the cars factory weight, then racing hard suspension and racing breaks. and add power mods to get to desired PP.

You don't do your own personal tuning on the suspension? Let's see if we can tame that 240z today.
Not usually. I was talking in a grand sense, like when I have to buy a car for one race in career mode. I don't tend to get that in depth with the tuning. So to answer your question, no not really.
I'm going to be on gt6 in a bit to try to tune the z more.

EDIT: Just spent some time tuning the Z. Its much more stable and my lap times have improved by 2-3 seconds on SNC.
EDIT EDIT: I just threw together a 425PP Miata and its with hardly any tuning so much more stable and controlable than the Z. I might bounce back and forth between the Z and the Miata. You know since a Z is my dream car and A Miata is my actual car in real life.

heres a pic of my machines!

I just need a darker shade of matte green.
