@ketiux this is the kind of thing I would be interested in, but I can't commit to any kind of regular attendance. If it's okay, I would send you an FR and just try and drop in if I see you online.

Gonna look for something oddball to race with.

Yes, at this PP you can still be competitive with some 'interesting' cars. 👍

@Devil240Z, I had some problems with a different older car (450pp) I've been working on. The 50:50 balance just seem to didn't work - whatever I tried the outside rear would lose grip in mid corner or exit. I moved the ballast forward a bit and it improved massively - I think it was around 56:44 (I will check). I'm still experimenting with the diff too, currently highish initial (18) and low accel (9) seems fairly stable.

Good to know. I'm willing to try anything to reign in the Z on corner exits. It was improving when I added a dif and tuned it a bit(before reading this).
Usually in my experience achieving a 50:50 weight distribution makes most cars behave. Especially MRs and RRs.
Though in my single player career I will take liberties with driving aids so I may just have to get used to less assistance. But as I said, within the rules of this league my Miata handles like a dream but the Z is still a wild beast.

Yes, it may or may not work for all cars and drivers - we are dealing with the vagaries of a computer game after all. I am however pretty well convinced that forward ballast is favourable on FF cars. I'd like to point out that I'm no master tuner, more of a keen amateur . I was just offering up some places to start looking based on what I found - it can be a frustrating experience to get a tune working.

It might well be possible and favourable to achieve 50:50 on the 240Z or my Isuzu, with greater experience and more time adjusting the suspension; maybe I had the car a bit soft, but I didn't want to make it too firm with SH tyres.

One mistake I did make with my car was having the ride height too low - it only goes down 100 and I had 110 with the spring rates about half way front and rear. I eventually worked out it was bottoming out and raised to 120 with better results.
