As far as I'm concerned, you can use this on the cover of a racegame! (GT5?) Excellent work!!! đź‘Ť I like the one with "normal" colours best, but the orange one isn't to shabby either! :)

I agree with the headlights and how they look. They sort of have a cutout filter look to them, like cell shading. That's just the way the picture was I guess. But I am having a hard time seeing very cartoonish reflections. They are very smooth and crisp, but I guess I have looked at the picture too long or something.

And it reminds of Initial D MKthree?
I cans see what Div means with cartoonish, at first glance I thought it was a vector car, what with the headlights and the very sharp front spoiler.

Appie, sorry to say it but it's off topic what you just said there...

440, lets begin with that this is just simply an awesome pic. The lights look fake, but hey, what do you want with computer-game graphics? I looks really cool to me. With these sort of pics it doesnt really matter to me if the pic looks real or not, if it looks cool it's awesome, and especially with such a clean pic. It's all great, but I still can see flaws (I couldnt have done it better, I have to say, I have a lot to learn before I can do anything like this đź‘Ť ) like with the front of the door. The reflection just continues to the rest of the car and it looks a bit odd. I don't know what you think of it, but the pixelation of the ps blur annoys me a little bit. I'm sure you can see it too, you can see it well when looking at the trees above the car. The windscreen looks a bit pixelated at the top too. I hope I'm clear enough of locating where the (microscopical) flaws are. But it ofcourse doesnt take away that this picture is great, if not almost perfect.

Wow, how much can I tell about one pic.

Excellent update man! Out of the two pics, I prefer the second 'orange' version. I like the differing levels of the same colour that are present within the image, and how the reflections and shades are made up of those same colours. Dont get me wrong though, the first pic is great too, but the second is my favorite. cracking stuff, keep up the good work! :dopey:

Yeah, I agree there are still things that could be improved. I could spend a couple more hours and airbrush in proper reflections on the door and fenders so that it flows better, but I had already spent a few hours on it in the first place. I thought the same thing you did when I first started on it, but like you said, it's a PS2 game. And with the pixelation with the radial blur, I wish it was'nt there too. I could blur it out, but I like the sharp, streaky look better, and blurring would ruin that effect, unless there was another way around it. And I never touched the window for some reason. I think it was because I cleaned up the jaggeis and pixels through the Gradient layer adjustment so the window was just black, like in the red orange tinted shot. (That's my favorite too magburner) I just did'nt think to check in the color shot, but oh well.

Thankyou very much everyone for your comments, they are very encouraging and inspire me to do more of this stuff. Perhaps I will try another shot tomorrow or something. It seems I go and take pictures, but just never get around to photoshoping them up to look pretty and uploading. I guess I just have to do one at a time. Have a nice day everyone!:)

Another small update, 1 pic, but it's something. This car is very photo-genic and I have many pics of this one. But I really liked this one. I did the cut and paste wheels technique, and than motion blurred the BG. It's lovely. I have a normal color one as well, but I just love this gradient map!

This S7 is awesome. The big rims look cool, and they go well with the black car. I might have to try that big rim technique sometime. This gradient does look great, but you might as well show us the regular one, or make a bunch of different gradients. I wouldn't mind seeing one in light blue. I like the super thin border you added, it looks good when the picture is used as a wallpaper, as opposed to everyone elses thick white borders.

Here is another one I liked of the S7. Once again, I did the cut and paste wheels method so that the blur was proper, and than radial blurred the background.(The best radial blur I think I have done so far.)

đź‘Ť Breathtaking

Any link to that Wheel blurr tutorial? Or there is none...?

This pic is a lot better than the precedent, simply because you did not overdo it with the orange gradient.

This one looks very real, has a nice a colour tone and the brakes are simply stunning.

Nuff said.

Thanks Div! I guess there is a tutorial for the wheels, but it has nothing to do with radial blur. Just snap 3 shots: One with the shutter speed and arperature all the way up. One with the shutter speed all the way down focused on the front wheel. Than one with the shutter speed all the way down focused on the rear wheel. Than cut and paste the two blurred wheels into the focused, un-blurred shot, and than do the motion blurr tutorial that I have posted a few pages before this one, and viola!

Such a simple trick...but I never thought about it, thanks.

Kudos for that pic again, I can't stop staring at it, and THAT is saying something.

The only 2 things that could be improved are:

The radial blur behind the car is badly texturized, smoothen it out!

The taillights, they are pixelated, you could smoothen then up too.

Those 2 tips though are purely up to your perception of beauty.

Yeah, every time I use the radial blur filter, even on high quality, it pixelates everything. I did a gausian blur on the background and than re-sharpened it, and it helped a little bit, but it's still visible. And I did the tail lights quickly, so they did not get my best effort. Thanks again Div!:)

The S7 looks so superior
the radial blur background is very well done
and again ... love that zebra-crossing đź‘Ť
