I suggest it's kept on topic before a moderator needs to step in and I'm pretty sure they have enough agro to deal with elsewhere on te boards.

Thanks, Shem.

Pretty much this.

Also, this is one of those threads where it's a bit more appropriate to "let others have a turn". If it starts to fall off the charts a little, then feel free to add five more.

And we have a music forum, if you're really dying to post your playlist. Most of us are car fans, too! Posting outside that topic is what the Rumble Strip is all about.

- I have only ever memorized 2 phone numbers in my life that I can't forget. All other disappear from my memory very quickly.

- I once taught a class of kids that that the English names of around 8 root vegetables were all 'bacon'. I was rather pleased with this.

- I don't believe in luck.

- I've been stabbed (not life-threateningly) several times.

Odd that I can recall my grandparents' phone numbers or home phone numbers from 20 years ago, or those inactive over a decade ago, but most of my friends' and families' digits? Duh...let me look at my phone...

Because back then we used the traditional phones, and had a limited number of numbers that we used a lot.
I have the same thing; i remember phone numbers of my folks and a couple of friends only until the early days of the commercial cellphone when everything went blank.

We'll all be braindead at 50 like this though, as we never train our memory anymore :D

1: I still remember my family's phone number from when I was a small child (I'm now 48).

5: I truly believe people are getting "stupider" as technology increases.

Not to go too much off-topic but the general population of the world is getting dumber because people who would have died off years ago are now kept alive by government and welfare plans. Survival of the fittest is now not working!

Random factoid: GTP is the only thing keeping me calm right now. Thank God for internet distractions!
