6 Features From Other Racing Games We Want in Gran Turismo Sport

"but also GT6‘s sometimes-unreliable online". Sometimes is an understatement. People rubber-banding like crazy, certain players not being able to see eachother and countless disconnects is basically GT6 in a nutshell. I trully hope we wont have to experience any of these anymore.

Last spring was awful but I haven't seen those issues for almost a year now. I only play online about once per week though, but it's usually very smooth.

Remember the dual replay data logger from GT3, thought it was amazing back then (even if I didnt really know how to use it back then ), and it still is to be honest.

It's one feature that seems to be forgotten about (or at least not discussed to often from what I see), was a really handy if you knew how to use it properly, shame it was never picked up again.

Seemed so hi-tech back then: The graph readouts and playing two replays at once. GT seemed far ahead of the competition in the sense of realism. Not forgetting the satisfiying clicking sound of inserting the memory cards into the magic gate (whatever the hell that meant) slots to upload your replays. Ahh, the memories...

You said in your double post it's for car enthusiasts, then said they need to decide if they want to enter the simulation world for car enthusiasts.

Which is it?

I think GT will continue down the same path with physics and sound, making minor improvements with each title.

I don't think they'll give us the shock and awe that Project Cars 2 will likely deliver.

I will still buy and enjoy GT Sport, strictly because it will be good online.
"For car and racing enthusiasts"

Handling/Driving Dynamics.

Tuning Options, Adjustments and Car Body Modifications.

Sound of cars and various venue reverb properties.

Add Helmet View

Proper Car Classifications and Groupings for accurately creating races. (Right now GT is the worst in this area)

Regular DLC content.

More Real Life Tracks.

I just want to see a some kind of "Director mode" just like in GTA. PD already have a good virtual camera and realistic lighting, it would be awesome if we can make our own mini movies or trailers in the game.

1. Dynamic time change. Switch it off for PVR for frame rate issues.
2. Dynamic weather change. Again off for PVR.
3. Multi class timing and scoring.
4. Event creator that can be as simple as setting up a quick race at one track all the way to making a complete GT-mode with your own rules. Online and offline and shareable.

1. Custom Grids/Championships (TOCA Race Driver)
2. In-Depth Performance Upgrades (Forza Motorsport)
3. Realistic Damage (Race Driver GRID)
4. Realistic AI (GTR2)
5. Top Speed Testing (GT4)
6. Racing Modifications For All Applicable Cars (GT1)

number 6 sounds really unlikely, but hey we have a livery editor.

Excellent article that really highlights the competitive obstacles facing GT. I know a lot of people won't care and will buy it regardless, but it would be great to see the glory of the GT franchise return with state of the art progress in all the major areas, to lead the genre with something more than just a legacy.

Not to worry JohnnyP, l'm sure PD will enlighten us with some their very own awesome sh... stuff. And at the same pee us off with some really stupid ideas and decisions. Beta it Dude!

GT has always delivered the aboslute best graphics at the time of its release. Yeah, l know it's damage models were wack but l have yet to appreciate dents and scratches, especially when the whip is operating normally after a few moment's time. Just plain stupid. But who else ages the chassis and soils the body work until you take it to the shop? Also, I thought 'plus 1' meant an increase in wheel and tyre height AND width. Fat tyres!.. Please!

Hopefully PD will allow that guy from FM out do himself and get righteous with the sound effects... for every individual car and their upgraded parts.

Now cue Ohio Players' 'FIRE'
I've been mentally pimp slappin PD upside the back of their collective skulls forever. Let em burn!

Over heat the tyres, brakes, electronics, engine and driver. OK, simplified. Ignoring engine temp should result in failed engine internals and oil lost onto hot parts or any 200mph collision... then kahblewy! Let em burn. I don't care where on the track. Let em burn. When homie presses a button, any button. Let em leap from the cockpit ablaze. I don't care. Let them and their car burn to a smoldering pile of indicernable carnage. Unable to limp his sorry butt into the pit for any kind of repreave. Let em burn and l won't give a fuzzy word what the graphics look like while myself and others follow the safety car by the mess they made.

Fade to black
