Anyone on Radio Le Mans (my bandwidth can't handle two audio plus video feeds) heard something about pit-strategies? There was a question about 3- or 4-stinting the tyres and drivers...

#2 Audi bucked first and changed Rockenfeller to Werner.

EDIT: Dindo in an interview states they're slower than expected and struggling with understeer!

The way I understand it, they were aiming for 3 or 4 stints because of the new airgun rules. It takes too long to change tyres apparently.

This I know - but the question is, can they manage it. This was unknown at the start, but I would've figured they'll have an answer by now... Which I'm trying to find out.

3- stints have been successful, even in the days heat. I don't think a 4 stint has been tried yet, but its possible overnight as things cool down.

Yeah, should be possible in the night.

The Dindo interview gave me some surprising insight: Since they're struggling with understeer, he said, they're hoping for the track to rubber in and improve things slightly. What does this mean? If it rains, the track will do the opposite - and Audi may have a major problem on their hands, seeing as all three cars complain of that understeer. The Peugeots have proper downforce and balance this year, unlike last year's knife-edge car. According to him, the Peugeots are easily 4 seconds a lap faster even when the Audi is pushing.

Looks good, I am hoping things will close slightly overnight just to keep things interesting.

Unfortunately I have to go over to my girlfriends now (its not often I say that sentence). So I will catch you guys later. Have fun, be back in 5 hours or so. 👍

They would be able to do it in the night as long as it stays dry. I honestly think that Peugeot is going to win this year.

Oh did any of you see the Audi commercial for the r10 going to Maranello? Very clever from them.

Yes, I saw the advert and I think Audi are getting a little too high & mighty.

Should shut them up when they lose tomorrow then.

Why? At the end of tomorrow, it could possibly be the only win to the 908's belt after 3 years compared to Audi dominating every race since 2000 minus Bentley's win.

Then there's the fact that Audi isn't running their cars into each other. :D

Like I said earlier, it just feels like it's their year. McNish set the tone for Audi early on last year by racing through the 3 car pack of Peugeot's at the start.

Audi have been much more subdued this year, and Wolfgang Ulrich hasn't really looked at ease compared to previous years. I just don't think they're strong enough this year.

The Bentley that just happened to have an Audi engine

Lame they took Le Mans off of Speed TV to show NASCAR. I am not watching a stream on my computer since I have other things I want to do. Any word if I can stream through the PS3?

Peugeot 11sec. faster on last lap - good :)

With that lap times keeping up Peugeot #7 could come back on pos.3 ... - #7 was also 11s faster than the best Audi and the best lap of #7 is 4s better than Audi#1...

Audi decides to change noses trying to improve the car. These noses should better be worth 20 seconds, or else they'll have to re-change...
