Really wish peugeot was still racing Le Mans this year especially after last years classic as i don't see toyota putting up much of a challenge as expected.

Hopefully the GT battle will remain tight and keep it interesting for the rest of the race.

There's 22 hours to go...

Toyota have a good chance IMO.

Hi all,

Just a question, are there other car makers considering a return to lmp1 for the coming years? Heard some things about porsche so I'm curious if there are any other.

Ya know, I kinda wanna take the Deltawing for a spin. It would be an interesting thing to drive.

EDIT: Onboard the Corvette, the sound of American thunder!

Toyota came back this year.

I do too, but I'll watch on anything just to be in touch with Le Mans coverage.

Oh I will to, don't get me wrong, but I prefer the TV. Just wish they'd get focused on GT more..

Toyota came back this year.

This is true. But this is Toyota, not some random manufacturer. A manufacturer like Toyota with all these great drivers, their history, their staff, their experience, their funds, I was expecting them to actually bash in the door this year instead of quietly entering.

I'm not complaining, though, I just wish the battle with the Audi and Toyota hybrids would be closer. Am I seeing things, or has the #8 Toyota already been lapped?

*EDIT* Sorry, I didn't see you were talking about the manufacturers itself. I thought you replied to the small disappointment that's hanging in the air around Toyotas performance so far and Audis dominance.

Again, we're barely into the race..

speed is showing the extra nascar practice cuz of high speeds at michigan, goodyear made a harder tire overnight, and brought them to the track and the need for another practice. dose it need to be shown, i think not that that is what is up with it

They should add it to GT5 and the Signatech LMP2 Car!

Audi are staying in LMP1 for the foreseeable future as it stands.
Toyota returned to LMP1 this year.
Peugeot are returning to LMP1 in 2013 as far as I know, after a 1 year 'sabbatical', shall we say.
Porsche are returning to LMP1 in 2014, as they announced in 2011.

Again, we're barely into the race..

While this may be correct, Audi's cars are not known to break down because of reliability. If anything, they just tend to crash with someone when they're not paying attention. If anything, things are more likely to happen to the TS030 than the R18.

Toyota should retire their TS030 and use this instead:

Very true, i like your optimism but i just can't see it happening, hope your right and we have a close race right to the finish as we were truly spoilt with last year's race.

Anyways the GT class is delivering the goods at the minute , really enjoying seeing the aston vs corvette fight, two of the best sounding cars in the field.

Speed, I don't care about what tire nascar is using. show me the race.

Where did that come from!? They didn't even warn us they were switching over. Honestly, who in the world would want to watch NASCAR PRACTICE over the 24 Hours of Lemans! Could you imagine how many viewers Speed just lost!

D*mn Speed Channel, guess it's about time for my break anyway. Got to make a store run for the Grandkids B-Day/fathers day/ cookout this evening and get the lawn mowed before family starts showing up. Why is it that fathers day always results in so much work for those of us who are fathers? Never have figured that one out :grumpy: See you all in 6 -8 hours :)
