I never called any names in my posts. But if you feel like I meant you, you have to think about why it's like that.

You used a general summation should we visit your post again, now that the race is over I can put full attention to the forum and the misguided views some people have without worrying about missing my precious race.

Let's...
Really? Do we even have to make fun about the Ferraris after the race?
After all, those guys get paid year after year for driving race cars, while all you haters sit infront of your computer in a videogame forum.

Seems pretty general and could be almost anyone, so what I truly have to think about is who you actually are talking to for one. Why you have an emotional investment in them, two. And three, I love the spin you try to put on it and send it back my way. That was cute.

If you would've just read the next word to the right after your second highlight, you would've seen that I was "calling" the people who kept bashing the AM Ferraris the whole race. But I guess after the "you" you already stopped reading.
I don't have any emotional envestment with them, it just really get's on my nerves when people keep talking bs about drivers while they haven't even driven a racecar themself. It's just like football where everyone thinks he's an expert and than has no idea what to do on the field. And for your spinny thing, if the shoe fits, it fits.

Congrats to Audi... Uh, again.

A shame for both Porsches to not finish, but oh well. They were doing well until then. Happy that Toyota didn't win, I don't know why, but I just can't pull myself to like Toyota, it's like Peugeot all over again. :odd:

Completely forgot about the nurb 24. In many ways it would be better to do that first, a week after watching LMP's even GT beasts can look a little sluggish.

Porsche #14 is listed as a DNF by Autosport but I'm pretty sure we saw it running in the Audi group. Did they cock up and send it out for just 1 lap rather than 2 and exceed the maximum final laptime by about 70 minutes?

And the results adds some spice to the WEC overall standings. Audi is now in contention for the WEC title, with the drivers of #2 trailing behind Toyota #8 by 20 points.

No I saw it, but it doesn't change anything the wording is quite vague and even the slightest comment of negativity toward a Ferrari team says that person is a "hater". Whether deserved or not (Sam Bird definitely deserved the negative criticism). I read everything on every thread I decide to participate in out of respect and also to make sure I actually know what's going on, clearly you didn't do that and thus made a general statement that is now being criticized.

What does the shoe fit? You, because you tried to put the blame on me and guilt trip me by pointing out your vagueness? I'm confused how your straw-man blame (which you ironically attempt again here) is my fault?

Once again, I didn't know that only race drivers could talk about racing.

I got lucky this year- I squeaked by and managed to catch the last 15 minutes of the race (slept through my alarm badly). Congrats Audi for the 1-2 finish. Major props to the #8 Toyota for the third place finish. Congrats Ferrari for winning the GTE Pro class, and I got to give a shout-out to Corvette racing for taking second in class on the debut year of the C7R. I just hope that the ACO doesn't mess with the BoP in the GTE Pro class because they had it pretty well this year.

Um so what...the Vette runs the same power and pulled out faster laps on the last two stints than any other car in class. What's your point?
Vette used a smaller engine because orginal road going engine would have been restricted by BOP air restrictors anyway. So they took advantage of a more driveable engine and they managed consistent lap times during the race.

So wouldn't be better if regulations makes mandatory the use of original engine without air restrictions?

I for one hate the idea of the race car version being less powerful than road car version.
When 458 entered competition they immediately forced Ferrari to use a standard 6 gears gearbox because original 7 gearbox would have been too good for competition. It shouldn't be like that, car companies should be allowed to showcase their engineering skills and other car companies should try to beat them developing better parts instead of basically being forced to play politics tricks with ACO organizers gaining more downforce/breaking/hp output in order to win like Porsche last year, or swapping engine completely like Corvette this year.
Can you now understand where my frustration come from?

Even this Ferrari win is not completely true. I would have prefered to beat full spec rivals with a full spec Ferrari that would be a real win.

Lol watching the nismo tv and there was a sign in the paddock it said Sebastian, Mark is faster than you. Probably would in that car compared to an f1. But not when the gear box malfunctions. When's the next big race?

Mark should be at least be a 'lil bit irked by seeing taht the end result was a Multi-21.

If the same people keep bashing and laughing about crashing Ferraris it's quite obvious that they have a problem with Ferrari. And I would call that "hater". I never said any name and you were the first, and only one, to respond, so obviously there had to be a reason that made you feel like that. I never made a post where I said "Hey LMSCorvetteGT2 your opinion sucks" or something like that, so don't try to make it look like I did that. Of course everyone can talk about racing, but if I keep saying that a company sucks, because I don't like them, at every little error that happens there that doesn't have much to do with racing talk. I didn't even said what kind of nonsense it is to blame Ferrari for the driver errors.

That still doesn't answer how a car untouched by the ACO/FIA other than the 5 extra liters of fuel everyone got (Aston given 10) was faster in the final stages of the race even than a car with a new aero package far better than last years and same power output...

So wouldn't be better if regulations makes mandatory the use of original engine without air restrictions?

Sure if you don't have any common sense. I guess if you want to have Dodge rush to next years race and easily steal the show to the point they could break down and still have cushion to break down and come out ahead.

That's not true though. For example the ZR1 vs the C6.R (race car version of the ZR1). Was quite a bit faster than it's nearly 200hp more road going counter part. But hey the less powerful car that happened to be faster in the 1/4 mile, 0-60 and around a track is utterly horrible me oh my.:indiff:

Where is the info that this 7 gear semi-auto would have been better? The Vette isn't allowed to use it's seven seems fair. Car companies are showcasing their skills hence why the cars on the road are gaining more and more of their race car variants parts and looks and handling.

Ah and when you don't know what the hell is going on, always take the out and blame politics. See that kids, when you have not a 🤬 chance of knowing what you're talking about make up stuff.

...So being on equal playing field to everyone and basically spec (which isn't what you asked for earlier in the post) and then winning even though the faster car finished second. Isn't good enough, especially in a race where speed isn't everything but reliability, handling, and speed. So Ferrari had it all and yet that isn't enough.

Well, nostalgia kickin' in and it's back to the real world for me. Thanks for the company guys, see you around and hope to see you for LM 2015!
