I have the Ford onboard with my phone and the full coverage on my TV all synced up. Really fun battled and the views of the sunset are perfect.

Watching the onboard of the #69 as it battled with the #63 'Vette, and that low-lying sun at Indianapolis looked blinding, and that's from the camera's perspective. Hairy stuff when your heading into one the fastest corners...

I pretty much watch a 24 hour race for this one hour and then stop caring until sunrise (if it's a time I can watch reasonably) and the end.

Looks like the Ford is starting to gain a little on the Corvette again. If the Ferrari can catch up as well, I think we're in for a treat.

Since getting a chance to drive on the classic track in Project Cars 2 I can instantly see where the old run up to the Dunlop Bridge and down to Tetre Rouge used to be. It would be truly something if they could repave that track line but up to modern standards of barriers and whatnot and have it as a variant for vintage festival races. The new Porsche Curves complex is an entirely different area so you can't really see the old straight from that area.

Wonder how long it will take before a Ferrari gets in the way of an LMP1. They always seem to do...

I‘ve got a hunch that at least one of the toyotas is going to have an accident like this. Not particularly a ferrari but a slower car. The track is still full of cars...

I'm surprised everybody survived that safety car restart a while ago. That many cars bunched up when it's dark won't be as clean.

How come Porsche is able to field four cars in GT Pro but LMP cars were reduced to only two per team?

I believe it's because they are two teams (NA and EU). I believe they also operate separately as well. Same for the Ford GTs. So they technically don't count as one four car team. I could be wrong though.

The 2 Toyota's are 2 laps ahead of 3rd place...

Not really interesting considering whos gonna win then.

Still 17,5 hours to go, so anything can happen of course.

Yup, it aint over until the fat lady sings. Just like Toyota a couple of years back, when their car broke with 4 minutes left.

That's correct, the two heritage liveried Porsche's are traditional Porsche factory run cars, whereas the normal liveried Porshce's are the IMSA ran Porsche North America ran cars. Same story with the Ford's too.

Yeah they are 2 seperate teams. Ford and Porsche entering one team from WEC and one from IMSA.
The Jackie Chan team have something similar going on. They have 4 cars in name but only 2 are their own Oreca's (Jota), the other 2 are pretty much unrelated Ligier's (just OAK using their name for the automatic invitation - from ALMS).

Teams and sponsors are happy with the extra tarmac in the Porsche Curves, the drivers aren't, apparently they feel that they have neutered the curves.

Where do I find the non-commercial version of the normal program?

I've been looking. But not that familiar with the player.
Click on "live" or just scroll down when the image is not full screen. It should list all current live streams. The additional streams are named "bonus feed".
