95 or 96 Impala SS...I have a few questions

I'm planning on buying an impala SS 95 or 96 it doesn't really matter. I would like to look into some after market mods for it...but I have no clue where to start looking. How much power does it have stock? I know it comes with a 5.7 liter V8. This may be a little off topic...but does anyone here have spinners on their car? How much did you pay for them?

The Imapla SS is a great car. I'm not sure on any specs on it but I can say it goes very fast. I'm drove my uncle's. It can get up and go.

I bought a make up-model once, and it had information on the back of the box. From memory, low 7 secs to 60, low 14s 1/4 mile. Pretty ****ing fast for a land barge

The impala SS is a good car, my aunt had one that she traded for a Chevy SS 454 Pickup slip for slip..but yeah I drove it a bit before she got rid of it and I liked it..And hell the impala SS from that one movie with Mike Epp's and Ice Cube that came out recently to video..That's a nice impala too..And spinners do you mean like Daytona Spinners? or like.....Sprewell knockoff spinners?

ur talking about all about the benjemins...that movie's pretty good...that was accualy the last deciding factor on that car. spinner are rims that have a seperate part that spins. Like on the outside it spins while the inside is stationary.

yeah..Sprewell knocoffs..because Sprewells were the first to have those spinning outer rims......Spinners can be put on almost any rim now adays..But if the rim is bent in any way or shape..Even if you curb check it..the outer rim won't spin anymore

Yeah i was talking to guy at a place called "Mr. Tire" and he said this guy let his a girlfriend drive the car and she hit a curb and the guy came back and wanted them to fix it, but they couldn't. He said the guy paid like 2800 for each one of his spinners. I'm not sure if I'm going to get spinners or just got for some nice 20's.

try general motors parts. I'll try and find the link or I think you can just go to www.gm.com and find it from there.

ya I've seen one at the GM tech center is Warren when I was there yesterday. Very nice looking car, the one i saw was black.

yeah it's V6 but it's force inducted and it's FWD..meaning it has a chance of being the fastest..not quickest...Fastest stock FWD car on the market

Still its supercharged. Right up there with GM's long line of V6 supercharged FWD midsized cars.

Other being:
Grand Prix GTP
Boniville SSE
Monte Carlo SS
Grand Am V6 with Ram Air

There all nice cars but I'm with you give me the real impala. The rear drive V8 hot rod

Ya the rear drive is the better choice any how.

There is a nice 95 Impala SS around here. Sitting on 20's and bagged with a dark red mabled paint job on it. Its a beautiful car.

no you'd find the best deal on eBay I think, just make sure the seller is legit.

You'd find a really good condition one in the south and there kept good down there due to mild winters and no salt.

I'm also on a budget, I'm doing really bad in school, I'm not planning on college, but some type of vocational training, so coming out of hs, I wont be making alot of money, plus I'm going to have rent to pay, and I'm planning on a painting it blue or black, so that should be incorporated. Most of the ones I see are dark red or maroon. I'm prolly going to be making around $1000 a month, if I'm lucky. Well my friends about to come over so I'l be back later on.

wow you need money if you want to make an Impala nice. eBay would be your best bet for something a little cheaper.

For the miles thing this should help. People drive an average of 15,000 miles a year. That is about normal. Just take the amount of miles and divide it by the number of years old it is. If its around 15,000 its normal...

eBay is going to be the best place to find parts and the car cheaper. At a 1000 bucks a month you prolly don't want payments, so you need to keep with in your budget. Since its a GM motor you shouldn't have a ton of problems with it. The older Impalas are solid cars.

Yup any Impala that was built before they converter it to FWD is solidly built

They only came in three colours Black, Lightish Blue and Dark Red
