95 or 96 Impala SS...I have a few questions

Civic Si's must be fast as hell to some of you if mid 14 to mid 15 second Impala SS's are fast as hell.:odd:

They're good looking cars, but I'm sure they're heavy as hell. I wouldn't buy one if I was looking to make something fast, but I would buy it if I was looking for a car I could "pimp" out, and still be moderately quick in.

what he said. I read an story in hot rod a while ago. one dude swapped an aluminum truck big block (600+ cubic inches... THAT is displacement) that produced almost 700 hp and almost same amount of torque, and the car got 12s-11s in the quarter. with that power, any car could go 10-9 seconds. of course, acceleration and response was unreal, and it is, even in stock form in wich they put out some 270 hp or so.

Cano

"slow" things, but cool and sinister.
and yeah, for many people here, civic SIs ARE fast as hell.

Yeah Cano, I have that mag....It was quite a suprize actually....Such a heavy car, bringing it's front end a reasonable hight off the ground when the bars were off

I'm not looking to make it run 10's. I know thats wishfull thinking, I just want to add an extra boost of power. If I cant get an impala what should I get? I know I want something rear wheel drive.

And the fact that these would have a wider appeal to Southerners - just ask Josh.

I have a 95 impala and I want to know how to make the change oil light go off. I read the manual and there is supposed to be some mechanism to make it go off. Anybody have anything?

What is a good alarm system for the SS. I live in Chicago and I know that I need to get some type of alarm system to keep it. Where are some places that I can look? Websites?
