A British Survey Says British Cars Are the Greatest Movie Cars Ever

Just to add more of Brian's car in F&F movies that are driven, raced/wrecked in the movie, Skyline, GTR and WRX.

Barely remember the movie, but from The Cannonball Run I definitely remember the black Lamborghini Countach. Maybe because it was love at first sight.

No mention of 70's movie "Gumball Rally" yet?

I had to YouTube the movie... it brought back fond memories. The clips of the start of the race looks like NewYork?.. but may be Boston. Then another clip of the California canal duel.

Ferrari California, Shelby Cobra, Pontiac TransAm and C2 Corvette to name a few.

Also, though not a film, but the detectives of "Miami Vice" drove some memorable cars too.

Sonny's Ferrari (Corvette stunt car) California Spider and Testarossa, Recardo's Cadillac Coupe DeVille Convertible, Swytek's Ford Thunderbird Convertible and the Gina's ragtop Mercury Cougar.

My picks, by the way, would be Batman's Tumbler and Speed Racer's Mach 5.

Thanks for the memories, Yall

I've noted down the best suggestions in this thread, some more suggestions from the editorial and moderation teams and the best of the survey that this article is about... and I have a bit of a list. Okay, it's got 70 cars on it. The list doesn't contain every suggestion - we're excluding anything that doesn't score at least three stars on IMCDB - but most of them.

We're going to do something ourselves based on this list, starting with a poll on the forums to narrow the list down to a shortlist of 32 candidate cars.

But before we do that, are there any more suggestions?

I forgot to add this, the "Black Moon" featured in Black Moon Rising 1986 movie, the actual car is Wingho Concordia II. In the movie the car is extraordinary in both tech and performance.

The Jeep Wrangler is the first car I think of when I think of movie cars. It just screams adventure.

I would place the 1968 Mustang GT fastback from "Bullitt" higher up on that list, but that's just me.

Also, I would kick that Iron Man Audi R8 off the list and replace it with the Shelby GT500 "Eleanor" used in the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds.

EDIT: Hey, I don't see the Cannonball Run Countach on there:

Or any car in any movie, really. I mean...what about the white '67 Galaxie from Bullitt?

I was clarifying as Senna is a documentary, but released as a film. That white car, might not have much going for it.

It was intended as a joke, hence the second smiley after the implied long pause, but I don't think "any car in ___" is really the point.

And cheapness, by the looks of that interior shot...

It does look cheap, but in the movie, it kind of looks cool for 80's car, here are some more shots from the movie that shows those old school buttons, display, and leds/lights :) The car in the movie does feature parachute and can shoot huge flames, not sure if the real car can. It's top speed is 325MPH  It has both primary and secondary boost, the latter of which powered by hydrogen and controlled by onboard Apollo computer. In the movie, the car has airplane style steering wheel, while the real car seems don't.
