Here's a bit of freestyle, too bad I don't have any style. Really though, I did put a good amount of time into this. Trying something a bit different with this. Didn't turn out how I origianlly imagined, but hey it's my first vid here so..yeah. I do put my gameshark to work(which I'm sure you'll notice.) I tried, so I hope you enjoy.

btw My school server can suck at times so be forewarned

Thanks for watching.

very nice video... great job...

i like that you used domestics and the rally drifting was really cool..

the 4 angle drift w/ the BMW is very very cool, that was the first time I've ever seen anything like that....

No problem.. I'm downloading the 56k version Now :)
Downloaded... Great drifting... I can see your a very good drifter, and your video editing skills are quite good. Dj Shadow Rules ;) Some of the drifts your exhibiting are simply phenomenal.. You should be proud! The pro's should be able to find some faults, but I cannot.. ;)

That's preaty good TRi, I'd have to agre with MdnIte,, you're very good, and you do have some very good video editingg skills. Nice choice of music also, and yes, a lot of those drifts were very good.

Not sure what else to say, you did a great job there 👍, be proud.

downloading. sounds pretty good just by reading what other people said.

NICE NICE NICE. props for you and your vid. 👍 👍
i can see your styel in there . i guess. haha
lots of 360, 180s.. 240? :yuck:

you are very good. enjoyed the vid. kinda funny, little bloopers, funky drfits. :sly:

nice music, great editting, nice drifting
9/10 :dunce:

wow
sometimes the car seems like its going super fast, like the integra on the superspeedway, was that gameshark or just fast forward?
Yeah it was sped up a whole lot for the sake of matching the music and for the sake of everyone's attention span.
Thanks everyone for your comments, didn't expect it to be taken so well. I need to get a steering wheel for the next one...

Either that or just work on smoothing out your countersteer using the dual analog sticks.... You need to work on that really bad....

The editing was interesting in places, but overall was a bit random (you didn't utilize some of the most dramatic parts of the song).... The drifting was ok, but pretty choppy, and you regained traction a bit early on almost all your drifts....

However, some parts of the editing were really interesting (like the disappearing car)... What program are you using to edit? Vegas? Premier?....

You're on the right track though.... Just work on the countersteer and your line, and you will be set....

;)

Now the disappearing car was a clever trick... I can see how it's done though... you just had a still image of the turn (or maybe a video of the turn with just a car out of a site stoped) and a video of the turn overlapping, cutting the video in and out. None-the-less clever. Alot of the drifts seemed very... off... but I won't assume anything. I didn't particularly like the sped up drifts... I think it takes away from the value. Another thing that SD mentioned... alot of the drifts were terrible with the pulling back, pushing back in, pulling back, continue... Overall I'd give it a 6/10... but then again it was freestyle. Good work besides that.

That was a pretty crazy video. I LOVED the first part. Where you overlayed the same drift, but different care. Really Nice video. Goota love those hybrids. Makes me want a sharkport even more. :D Practice some smoother drifts. Looks REALLY choppy when you make a vid that fast.

Good stuff. Very sick. The fast motion got to me after a while. But generally it was cool.

If you're having trouble syncing up to the music...take out one or two drifts or shorten/lengthen the credits. It probably would have added up to the time you needed.

But cool effects with the car and the lighting, very slick. Looks like you're drifting isn't bad at all either. Keep it up!

Thanks for all the tips everyone. That's the feedback I'm looking for. Yeah I def need to work on my technique, but I had a lot of fun with it. Next time it'll be polished up some more and I'll pick easier songs to edit to.

btw I made this using Premiere and After Effects

a buncha people have been asking what songs are in the vid so here they are:
dj shadow and cut chemist - brainfreeze (it's pretty deep into the mix)
eyedea and abilities - one twenty

Dang. :D Sweet editing and some of the most odd drifts i have ever seen. Cool stuff. 👍👍👍👍
But, countersteering could have been smoother.

Very good vid. I do the same thing you do, gain traction too abruptly and bit early. The second corner in the vertigo was perfect.

This thread has been resurrected...cool. We should do that with other vids that new or returning members would enjoy.

Man, what a vid. 👍
I was wondering if anybody ever did several cars drifting using a still shot, like the one in SSR5. The 4-screen format, like on the BMW at Apricot Hill, was another editing technique I was thinking about. :)
You really seem to have a hang on the "180º + drift", I loved those. The variety of cars, and drivetrains, was a nice touch too.

thanks everyone i really appreciate it. 180s are easy, i spent hours trying to get the 720. i may be cookin something up in a little bit...
