A Part Of History? Feelings about Forza Planet

You dont have to leave GTP behind. Some of us still enjoy both games in their respect. Also, GTP still had many good common threads and sub-forums in general.
Always nice to be first but we can all recognize GTP is a good site because of the admins and how the community has evolved. I hope to see the same here.

I never stated that I had to leave GTP behind, I am going to continue being a contributing member on both forums.

I didn't mean to leave it behind completely, but the FM section from GTp transfering over here still feels like that, kinda.
It's like moving into your own appartment for the first time. Sure, you can still visit your parents all the time, but this is likely the place where you're going to spend most of your time, from now on.

This is the second new forum i've been on of Jordan's. 
I was (a small) part of the original GTP MSN group, then signed up to the GTP forums when they were created, making me the 18th registered member there (out of pretty much 200,000 there now
).
Not really sure how i feel about FP, its definately not a bad thing but i think i'd prefer it if Jordan had a link on GTP so that when you click on the Forza Motorsport forum, it brings you here, and ditto here for a GT forum. I think i read somewhere that he didn't plan on linking them to each other like that?
The sites are separate, but they are just (to put it simply) like two brothers living in the same room for years until they get older, then they both get their own room but in the same house.
I dunno, its no biggy regardless.

Well, when this site starts seeing as much traffic as GTPlanet, I assume we'll all be regarded as higher members by other people. I think, don't hurt me on this T-12, that you guys have had it easier on here compared to GTP. (I mean the mods) It seems more civil and calm right now, no fights or flame wars as I've seen so far.

Based on the number of warnings/infractions so far, that's an accurate assessment. Keep in mind, too, that so far FPlanet has around 100 truly active members and GTPlanet has many times more. There's bound to be more problems over yonder. Compound in that there isn't a general GT vs. Forza thread* and that's a big powder keg you don't have here.

I'm really digging the new forum and I'm hoping it cuts back on Forza v. GT debates since they are often fueled by idiocy. At least here I'll be able to ask a question without getting some answer dealing with GT being better some how.
I know I asked Jordan about the forum in the past and I'm happy he finally went ahead an did it.

Happy to jump across and be apart of the new forum. It will be interesting to see how the community evolves.
Its not just about having a separate Forza section but also having its own Off topic section as well. For now its like a mini copy of GTP but over time as the active memberbase differs from GTP it will take its own path into the sunset!.

It seems better, and more fun to be a member and see it become great then to join when it is really great (like GTPlanet).

It's nice to see both GT and Forza are growing in communities. With a lot of people playing Forza than it was some time ago, I think creating this forum will make the game more popular and grow up like how GT Series were. Not just that, this will help the growth of Forza Planet into something very successful like it's big brother, GTP. In the end, like Small_Fryz said once we have a lot of members this place will be different a little to GTP and will go on with its on way of life.
Also it feels nice to actually be part of new members of a new community.
Even with the existance of Forza Planet, GTP is still going to be the place where I spend my time the most!

This. I guess at the moment so many of the members are from GTP and we are all so use to it that identical threads have been made for a lot of topics, but with time this place will find its own identity.
