Wedsport Celica is easy to handle and quick enough by far.
comming out of the corners more easy than the 4WDs
just bread and butter setups.

That's the car I used, tuned to 310hp / 503pp with only the mid-RPM turbo installed (I think) and the Power Limiter percentage lowered. I caught up to the BRZ and Celica entering the final lap, and they were right up on me for the rest of the race. You don't have to lower the Power Limiter, though, and if you don't, then it'll most likely be an easier win. I just did because it's rare that I feel challenged when using GT300 cars. 👍

Ran the Silvia. Had three Autobacs Garaiyas up front and passed them all in the last lap for a comfortable (2.5s) win.

Took the Impreza for a few laps of Spa afterwards - it's actually lot quicker and nicer to drive than I thought it would be!

Weird, I've never seen anything but the Celica and BRZ up front. I myself have not driven the Imprezza yet, still trying to gold the Expert GT500 seasonal. :banghead:

In my one and only go at this event I only had Garaiyas up front, no Celica or BRZ to be seen...

I need to give this one a few more tries wirh different cars. Good excuse to buy up all the GT300 cars lol.
I did the same, Buy all that cars and see what the best is. Money is not the problem with this game:).

Well I'm happy to report I just won my very first Seasonal...Gold... On first try with no practice. *Does the happy dance*
I bought the Subaru BRZ R&D Sport '12 for the race (since it seemed like the leading car in the line up) and in Power just bought the Turbo Kit "High RPM Pange" and in Engine Tuning "Stage 3". Then just lowered the Power Limiter to "93.0" to get it down to the required PP for the race. No other tuning adjustments.....And I WON.....GO me!!!!

I'm so happy. Did the race again and won again. Put some more dineros in the kitty. Thank you PD for at last a Seasonal race I could win. I feel like a racer. Woot Woot. This now gives me some encouragement.

Gold with the Subaru Impreza GT300 base model.
Why do i have a feeling that this should be the intermediate and the european hothatch should be the beginner race?

Ok I bought every GT300 and ran them here bone stock. The only changes I made to all was to zero out the camber and toe then shorten the gearing a little. I won with every one first time out.

As far as the cars go, the RX7 handles the best to me. Standard car was quieter but still felt the same. The MRS was a pleasant surprise too as far as handling. The Celica was a good drive also, lightest car too. The standard Garaiya seems to be better than the premium car imo. The Lexus was a no-nonsense easy car to drive and win with. As far as Subaru goes... The 03 Cusco has a little understeer to work out, no deal breaker there. The 08 will push all day with the stock differential settings, easy to work out. The flames out the front are a nice touch here. The BRZ is a good car, goes where you point it and has good speed on the straights. That leaves up with the Silvia, understeer is an understatement here, it drives like a truck stock lol. Pokey on the straights to add insult to injury. With some work the car will probably behave correctly so all is not lost.

Did I forget any?

These cars tend to conform to expectations... the CWest Silvia is 15 yrs old? Tends to drive like it with a horrible lawnmower sounding motor (SR20 LOL) and yeah it understeers but manageable.

The Subaru Impreza similar understeer at the default power split (30/70). The Garaiya and MRS have that unreasonable twitchiness due to the MR layout which I think is exaggerated.

The short wheelbase RWD cars like the Wedsport Celica, BRZ and Amemiya RX7 typically are neutral and easy to drive.

Best however for me is the Lexus IS300... seems to have plenty of power and the long wheelbase means you can just punch it out of corners and control the oversteer. I think any slight understeer can be corrected with more power which is how it should be.

I drove the Silvia immediately after the standard RX7 which may have made it seem so bad lol. Yea the MRS and Garaiya are twitchy. Setting rear rh just a little higher than front solves it.

Stock BRZ was easy to win with, although I did have a laugh at the AI because you can overtake them all on the first lap but then they'll sit within a second if you however quick you drive once in the lead.

Now go try the GT500 challenge. I have just spent 90 minutes today just to gold it.

The GT500 Challenge? The Expert level one you talking bout?
As I was on a winning streak I decided to try that one too but them fellas beat me up so bad I shame. First race last place, second try last place again. I even try one or two after with one of them special tunes I saw and was blows again. Most I could muster was second to last place. That race too fast and evil. I decide I go leave that for allyuh experts yes. I not able.

This race is obviously easy, but I love the GT300 cars and plan to try them all to see which one I prefer for future use.

I did enjoy driving all the GT300 cars and thing is, Microsoft have NO jgtc cars and NO Japanese tracks so GT6 is about it. Also the models of the GT300 cars are so beautiful, its like as if PD really loves jgtc and japanese tracks.

Too bad they dont have any FWD jgtc cars.

I'm milking it for what it's worth. This and the Intermediate Level one right next to it. I taking the wins and racking up the millions where I could get them in these Seasonals yes. I real happy for these ones. Right now I have 45 million credits and counting in the bank mainly because of these two Seasonals. I playing them numerous times every day until the season finish or until it say I can't add any more money in the bank. I'm rich bitch!!!! woot woot.

Congratulation 👍
you did a good Choice, the BRZ also is one of my favorites on this event.
Maybe now you want to lower your tuning step by step and go the race over and over again to improve your handling and get the same speed with less power. I promise this works. So it did for me either :)

And dont giveup the GT500 one. Its a hard track an realy fast cars, but its possible. maybe in the beginning you need a more stable , more forgiving setup then the fast ones posted in here.
If you like when i'm at home i have a look for a stable setup i tryed out by myself.
You can not win with that setup, but you can learn the track and the car more and more each try.

good luck

Thinking I might buy up some of the GT300's and have a few more goes at this event. Run it once in the Silvia, but like @TonyJZX said it sounds like a lawnmower... Thinking I might grab an Impreza and maybe the MRS.

The BRZ is great here, or even a Wedssports Celica which is a bit cheaper i think.

Not really fussed on the cost of cars for this one. Got 49.3 mil in the bank and if I keep running these seasonals I'll max that out pretty quickly! BRZ does look like a decent buy though...

i like the Celica cause its one of "the old" one ;) allready had this one in GT4.

if money doesnt matter at all the BRZ is the best choice in my opinion.
The Impreza is not as responsive on the front due to the all wheel drive ( litte understeering no matter how you setup)
The garaiya is the heaviest and weakest so i didnt try it ;)
The RX7 to me feels a bit unstable and overacting.
So at least the BRZ ist the fastes of all GT300 models and ist beautifull :)

Just ran the Subaru Impreza GT300, Autobacs Garaiya GT300, and Lexus IS350 GT300, and this is my verdict of these three:

The Impreza is fast, balanced, and loves to be thrown around the corners. It's got tonnes of grip and I had a good fun race in it. Best lap: 2:01

I struggled with the Garaiya. I spun twice in once race and ended up third. I tuned the LSD and suspension to suit my driving style and ended up getting an easy first, but this thing requires a lot more delicate driving being an MR. Best lap: 2:03

I found the Lexus a bit dull to drive. It looks amazing but it sounds pretty quiet in cockpit view. It handles quite nicely and I found it to be slightly quicker than the Garaiya. Best lap: 2:02.

They're all pretty fun cars, but I think I'll take the Subie...........

Now i wanted to know ...
i took my GT 300 and gave them a shot (or two if i messed one ;) )

236kw 1100kg. In order to get rid of understeering you have to make him a bit oversteering and put more grip on the front. Therefore it starts screeming very early in the corners and is still going a bit wide if you push down throttle to early on the outline. But nevertheless you won't get this one of the track any how ;)

Are these times with the PP rating at 530 or as stock? I ran my times with only an oil change, so 512-514 PP for all the cars I've run (except the Silvia which I ran first time round).
