Hey guys this is my race report of the endurance I'm currently doing in A-Spec. This is my first race report so I'm still new with this thing :nervous:

Super Speedway 150 miles

Started the race already before I decided to my this race report, so I don't really know the cars I'm driving against.

I am driving a Toyota Minolta fully tuned and is currently in 1st place at 0:01'49.000 In total time. I am driving lap 4/10 now.

Will post updates as I progress in every 25 laps. Thanks in Advance

Overall it was quite a boring race, because it's a boring but fast course. It's weird I only got 2 A-Spec points for that race...I don't know why but it was alright..not too bad :P

Next Race Please...

Welcome to GT Planet! 👍 This report is a good start, simple factual and to the point. ;) You're right though, Super Speedway is tricky to get excited about, 2 left turns and 2 straights, hardly makes for adrenaline-pumping racing. :indiff:

As far as your A-spec question, that answer is simple too. :)
A-spec points are related to several things:- The HP of your car, the type of tyres on the front wheels of your car, and the downforce settings of your car.
Lastly A-spec points will vary based on the other cars in your AI lineup. In this case you took a fully tuned Minolta breathing 1100HP against a field containing 2 Nissans at ~900HP, an Audi at ~750HP, a Pescarolo at ~700HP and a Camaro Race car with ~600HP.
Clearly then your huge HP advantage has contributed to your low A-spec points tally, especially since you have the car with the lowest available HP in the lineup. If you tried again with a lineup that doesn't include the Camaro, but has, for example, another Minolta or the Sauber in its place, you'd find your points total would go up. (Not by much though maybe 7 - 9 points.)
If you take off your Stage 4 Turbo, (this race is easily winnable without it) and go back against the same lineup, your points would also increase, (again not by much as you're still going against the Camaro.)
Similarly if you were to lower your downforce settings, (which increases tyrewear, especially on a track with fast turns like Super Speedway) your points would increase.
Changing your tyres affects points too, (although only the tyres on the front make a difference to A-spec points for unknown reasons) harder tyres give more points, softer tyres give less points, within a tyre class. And finally tyre classes change points too, R tyres give less points than S tyres which give less points than N tyres.

Thanks a lot smallhorses :D Now I understand the ins and outs of A-Spec points:P thanks to you. Yeha I will remove the stage 4 turbo and then try to do it again without the camaro.

Thanks again man really :)

No problem, love to help out! :D

If you need more info on A-spec points, take a look in the 200pt A-Spec Races forum, where you can find more detailed info about what affects A-spec points, suggestions for races, how to maximise point gains and a great thread about stock car races.
Not all the info contained in the thread is about only 200pt races, there's many suggestions for high point races too. Not everyone is capable of winning a challenging 200pt race, but there are known cars which are seemingly easier to gain points with than others.

@ Will, welcome to GTP!
Wow, its been a long time that I saw those kind of stats and yet only a year and a half ago I probably had the same sort of numbers.... :)

For your first report I agree with SH. If you feel like it have a look at some more reports to get a different perspective, perhaps you like those styles as well and who knows it might inspire you too.

So, are you going to join the Aspec nutters club soon? We need some fresh blood in there.
/end/

As Smallhorses said, have a read through the 200 points forum too to get some inspiration. We're always happy to help out 👍
