Stock Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07 on SS is great. Almost too good. 549pp

Wish they didn't slow down as much as they do at that right turn, then again through that silly, quick left right left thing. Those are very easy overtaking points.

Agreed, the first right on the back straight they brake for when it's flat in most cars, really wish they'd fix that.

The Special is a Buick

So close in the Nissan 2020. If I could put 5 2:10's together I'd have it. Thumbs cramping up. Gotta take a break.

Had a go in the RUF CTR for the win on this against the ONE-77, it was a bit messy in places and got the lead at turn 2 on the final lap, just did the full weight reduction, reduced the LSD numbers a little, dropped the top speed ratios a bit, and booted it up with SS tyres. all good fun.

After lots of season events using other cars, i took the GSXR back for a spin on this one.
544pp, it was fun but also easy, even got 2 penalties and spon out twice.
Intermediate event did not allow mistakes or i would not finish 1st, strange.

used Volkswagen Nardo ´01, interesting car easy win over Viper rabbit, almost stock setting only detuned to 550pp at 78,1%, 468 HP, 1300kg, 50:50

Ride height 110/110
spring rate 9,82/10,75
dampers extension 4/4
dampers compression 4/4
anti-roll bars 3/3
Camber 0,5/1,5
Toe -0,08/0,08
brakes 6/7

transmission racing Vmax to 330km/h

Done "washes hands" :crazy::dopey::scared::odd::)👍

Second place on my first attempt with a Toyota 86 GT but I messed up a bit, should have been able to win it. Nice car to drive on this track with these tires though, especially if you enjoy going fast through corners with your tires yelling at you. :) The 86 GT handles really well but lacks a bit in top speed for the straights.

The Saleen and NSX Prototype LM Road Car were easy wins. Both tuned by @praiano63 .

The AI braking points were annoying, and one loved to swerve into me as I passed on a straight. There was no reason for him to do so, except to give me 3-second collision penalties. That happened in both races.

Since I don't need any credits, I'm done.

The 🤬 penalties an AI in this race are absurd. Had 15 sec. of penalties in my first race and you guessed I lost by 15 sec. AI basically stops in front of you and you get a penalty for contact? Clearly inside in the turn and get a penalty for bumping and the 3 sec. penalties for those crazy zigzags and had one spin in front me and get a 5 sec penalty for ramming? Had 3 good clean laps and it all went out the window in lap 4 and 5. Using the MP4-12C with @praiano63 tune. Great car for the track.

Don't really like the NSX Prototype but I have one with @praiano63 tune so maybe I'll try that tomorrow. I've had enough for tonight.

Playing around with the R8 5.2 FSI quattro '09, I found a line-up where if I ran 11:34.xxx, I lose to the Ford GT '05 rabbit by a few seconds, and if I ran as slow as 11:47.xxx, I also lose to the same rabbit by a few seconds.

I ran (retried) the same line-up four times and each and every time, whether I ran 2:15 laps or 2:11 laps, I found myself in the same position at the end of lap 5.

Perhaps I should have played around with starting off the first lap at a slow pace as some players do with the Circuito de la Sierra time rallies.

I used the ZZII with Praiano's tune, just turned the wick down. Thanks again Praiano, your tuning rox. Average lap, 2:02/2:03

Having said that, I have always disliked this track, and didn't really enjoy this event, but I hammered it a bit to try to get a decent time. This is with one penalty...AI doing their standard brake-checks on me.

First go at this event, I used the Ferrari 458. Too many penalties to win it. Tried again with shaunm80's tune and got it done. Next up was the 430 Scuderia and took 1st. Used both of those cars for the Ferrari Challenge at this track. Decided to spend some cash and used the Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car. Victory. Finally pulled out a GT-R SpecV 09 and had the best time (11:23.371) and my fastest lap time of 207.213. I used Bowtie Muscle's tune. Thanks for the tunes guys. Another one of my favorite tracks. Off to improve those times...

This was fun with a lot of different speed rabbits, finally won with an SLS AMG '10 against an SLR McLaren in a somewhat putzy 11:56. Enjoyed many natural 550 pp cars avoiding massive detunes of 600pp class. Usually ran 2:15-2:17 laps, the NSX-R Prototype LM Road (basically a PD Vision) car is fastest, getting into 2:08s but had a tough Pagani C12 rabbit and could only silver.

Somewhat generous short cuts allowed here, I shamelessly cut that hockey stick bend before the back straight as the AI were short braking there. AI seem to be slow from the acute left, through the hockey stick and two chicanes and into the bowl. Best chances to blow by with no contact. After that they speed up.

C7 Stingray, Yellowbird, Infiniti VGT, GTO, NSX '13, M4 were all fast and could have won with other AI groups. GT-R Black nice ride but silver. 4 lap win with 15AE GT40, cruise thru 5th lap for an 11:43 and a sip of coffee on the straights. That was the second fastest car, diipping into the 2:10s. Gallardo fun win over Aston 1-77 slingshotting around the outside before the finish line, that was an 11:38. with 0.38 sec margin.

Edit, more wins with Nissan 390 (4 lap win, lead in the bowl, 2:09s), Ferrari 599 and LFA N'ring. LFA got down to 2:09s and also a 4 lap win, passing before the chicanes. Just short with Viper '13. Cobra 427 a 5th with many offs.

As a point of reference there was a 550pp SH time trial at this track before with a 2:20 gold standard.

The SALEEN S7 `02 is great and have a nice driving feeling for this event. Cruising at 2:09.xxx is enough to win with a short margin but passing the first car at the end of 3rd lap.

Same result here, 2:09 on average while passing 1st car at the end of the third lap. Excellent tune.

It also helped I had a couple beers in me. Figure that might be the key to being fast. :D

Won easy in the McLaren MP4-12C '10. The AI cars where well behaved and they did not appear to have any braking issues.

I've had a few more goes on this track and it's not the AI actually braking (or slowing). As some have been saying, it's just the way in which the AI is so slow through one particular sweeping bend and the little chicanes that I was mistaking for AI slowing.

Coincidentally, there is also a section on the track in this week's intermediate race where the AI fails to accelerate if you are behind them. It happens as you exit the tight right-left before the start/finish line straight.

The lead AI car is definitely driving much faster than usual in this event. While I do like that...in two races it's taken me until the back side of lap 5 to grab the lead, what about all of the other cars? I don't profess to know how to develop and code a challenging AI for auto racing. But that's why I'm not part of a multi-million dollar software house! Can't cars 2-15 also drive at a decent pace. Slow down Car 1 somewhat... If we have to start in 16th place every race, that's fine. But cars 2-15 are little more than an inconvenience to drive around during our pursuit of the lead AI car, the rabbit, if you will.

Overtake 15 through 2 in 2 laps & spend the rest of the time tracking down P1, I can't believe you'd have an issue with that. Well other than the 30 to 45 second head start, & the minions hammering on you as you try to clear them. Wow you're in 2nd, & that joker still has a 25 second lead. Good times...

Tried the ZZ II with @praiano63 tune, 2nd by 1.1 sec. Sooo I went and got the NSX with @praiano63 tune as well. The NSX was the car for me. The rabbits in my race were the SLR and the One-77. The One-77 is the one I literally had to do battle with. I had him at the end of lap 4. Then on lap 5 was when he started the battle, he cut inside me half on half off the track in one of the turns and just knocked me off the track. No penalty??? I caught him right back and he started brake checking, you name he tried it but once I was clear I pulled away. One pic is right at the finish line with my lap times and the other is the finish. I didn't get the prize money either which I didn't care. I really don't want to buy any more cars. I'm up to 200 now and never use more than 10-15% of them. Depending on the price of the Saleen I might try this again though I really don't like this track. I even golded the TT on my 1st lap. Not by much but still gold.

Yes Virginia, there is a RABBIT! His name is Calvo, or Salvo, and he drives a Silver Pagani S-7.3!! That is 444 cubic inches Virginia, in case you didn't know, wait a minute, that is the size of my Ford F-350 diesel engine in that teenie little car?!?! Lordie Lordie, what is the world coming to?

You can usually clear out the rolling roadblocks by lap 3, but Salvo is so far ahead by that time that you can become anxious, worrying that he has too much lead on you. Fear not my stalwarts, carry on at your ground eating pace and you will catch him.

If you are unable to catch him by the end of lap 5, then restart the race so that the One 77 is the lead starter, not the Pagani. I can usually catch him around the chicanes leading into the carousel before the finish line.

I used Shaun80's excellent tune of the Ferrari 458 Italia (2:09 lap times) for the win with the Aston Martin One 77 as leader, but then switched to the MP4-12C McLaren, using Bowtie Muscle's most excellent tune for that car. I tried a couple of other tunes but none were as good as the Bowtie Tune, giving me 2:07 lap times. I went into the lap time board to examine what the A.I were running, and found they were all "Comfortably Numb" as David Gilmour would say, running 2:14 to 2:22s?!?!

So, hope that is of some help for people who might be discouraged by the "RABBIT with the cute rubber band around his neck" After you pass the Pagani, he is glued to your butt all the way to the finish line, Ha Ha.
Cheers, Pete

When the Pagani starts in front, you have a good race on your hands.

With my Suzuki GSX-R/4, I can get the lead by early lap 4 against other runners.
