Really great track and also nice cars. Who knew even an ordinary Renault Megane could be fun to drive? I don't even mind losing this race. Well, not that much at least :P

This track!

So much fun pushing the pp lower and lower... not much need for brakes... just beware the sunday drivers pile up.

For a fun, close race I recommend the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 '85, stock but on CH tyres. It's fast enough to win if you keep it tidy but the AI will have you if you make too many mistakes.

PD, why this car is so understeer than the C4. IRL this car is as good as the Honda Integra DC5.

This 9 years older model same performance as the Megane

This race has been a lot of fun for me. Mainly, because I somehow never drove this reverse layout before, so it was completely new to me. But, the combination of track & cars also provided for some fun racing. In my experience, you've got to use Comfort Soft tires (or CM)...SH tires is overkill against the AI. I expanded my collection of French cars thanks to this event! :)

Ran a few stock cars:

Alpine A110: really nice and easy win.

Renault 5 Turbo: felt strangely slow and wants to spin with any application of throttle. Hard fought win.

Peugeot 205 T16: easy win, good fun with some sideways action.

Then I tried out my 400pp Xantia on CS for some big car refinement , and it was surprisingly good as long as I didn't go into to a corner too fast.

The Hommell Berlinette and Alpine A110, cars I ignore mostly as being too obscure and not that powerful and useful in other races... absolutely crush on this seasonal.

Great call on the Hommell 👍 Been running it 100% stock on CS tyres, don't always win,but i've had some great wheel to wheel racing, how GT6 should be,one of the best seasonals for a LONG time :)

I bought this car specifically for this Seasonal Event. It is a load of fun - both the car and this particular Seasonal Event. It's a shame it took me this long to find out about this little gem of a car. Keep your PP a bit low and drive on CS tires...it really becomes an enjoyable event.

Tried over 10 cars here (mind you they were all modified to be as close to 450 PP it could, to see how fast i could lap here).
Also i was writing my best lap on my cell when it suddenly turned off; lost all my data lol. Anyway i'll try to remember the times.
I'll post some of them:

Alpine A110 1600S: one of the handlings i've seen in GT6, but too slow for it's PP. So slow that even being the best car in turns, i made one one of the worst times of all cars here. But also the one i didn't do any kind of tuning because it it basically doesn't need to (other than the transmission)... yeah it's that good on corners, Time: 1:29 mid. Good thing is that it's PP is so high that it won't make much of a difference if you tune it to 450PP or not, meaning it' still a easy win if you want to go stock.

Alpine A310 1600VE: king of oversteer, it is just as bad as the Lancia Stratos when it comes to steering. You can't even brake without almost losing control lol. Funny enough, if you can control the car it's a beast, much faster than the A110. Made a time of 1:25 low, the best time of all cars i tried... but just in one magical lap. The other laps i was just trying not to spin the hell out lol, which i did 2 times on last lap.

Renault Avantime: the car you can get the most HP for this race (i believe it's 360 HP), also the heaviest and the one that won't steer for nothing. After some tuning i could shave off almost 10 seconds because it began to actually steer lol. Time of 1:29 low

Peugeot RCZ : Piece of ****. I couldn't even get under 1:30 with this car. It's slow and pretty meh on corners. Time was 1:30 high

Citroen C4 VTR 2.0: this car surprised me. It has everything you want on a car: it's fast, turns nice and has very good stability. For 450 PP it's one of the best cars and the one i had the most fun with. It has one of the best handlings i've seen on a FF car, and it seemed to be the fastest car out of every one i tested (maybe behind only the Alpine A310). Time was 1:26 low ,slower than my best time with the Alpine A310 but damn consistent, since all the laps were on the 1:26 zone, and it's a FF!
While the A310... well, all but one lap were over 1:29 lol

Hommell Berlinette: another fun car, i bet most people used this one because it was mostly the only chance the had for using it lol. I did on 1:26 mid, slightly slower than the C4!

I'll try some stock cars now to see how they fare...

I had only done this race once with the A110, didn't notice the times though. Went in again and it ran consistent 1:25s.

I missed the C4 so i gave it a go, and consistent is the word. Final time 7:20:1xx

used also the C4 standard and i was also surprised that it was a pretty good car.
when you tune it,it will be much better.

I did some impromtu testing using the Hommell... any power and weight combo is about the same. 275hp, 1,150kg is common on the max weight, max power setting.

On SH tyres its a joke... I was able to get 1st position at the end of the 1st lap! The car is unflappable... you dive deep into corners, the car has a hint of oversteer but its so communicative its not a bother. It also seems to have heaps of power... you tend to gather and maintain speed thru the fast sweepers and just lightly brake thru the tighter 2nd gear corners. You feel like you have 50% more power than anyone else.

On CS tyres its still in your favor... I got 1st by the end of the 2nd lap. A lot of the corners are more ragged and you tend to be able to hold oversteer more easily on these tyres. Still, 3rd to 5th laps is just boring as you're so fast.

On CMed tyres it gets a lot harder. It feels like as if the car has got too much power and lateral mechanical grip for the tyres. You have to keep the car well within its handling envelope less you spin out or get too much understeer. I was able to get 1st position by the 4th lap but it required much more discipline and care in overtaking.

On CHard tyres... boy oh boy this is tough. Able to just get 1st on the last few corners of the race. The car just handles bad. Its easy to provoke power oversteer. The tyres limit your ability to brake and corner at speed. On slow speed corners your car is prone to power oversteering. On fast corners it seems you have the worst of both worlds, initial understeer and then the back breaking out too once you controlled the front end.

On lesser tyres you may be better off with less weight, less power since you cant really utilise that power anyway.

Just tried this with a stock Hommell (163hp, 950kg) on CH for a fairly comfortable ('scuse the pun) win. Very enjoyable race though. For me this is the best way to get some fun out of these races. I can't see the point of running a tuned car on SH tyres, charging through the pack in the first lap then driving on your own for the next four. It's meant to be a race, even if it is only against the AI. And I don't even mind coming second sometimes. I'd already done it in the Pug 205 turbo on CH (just kept coming back to this one) and Renault R5 turbo on CM. The R5 on CH is pushing it a bit but I reckon it is possible if you fancy a tough challenge. The Alpine A110 should be fun on CH too.

I haven't been posting anything on the seasonal event since the first seasonal event Drift trial on GT6.

I've used a stock RCZ with just oil change and finished 1st place. At first I Thought I will just finish at 4th or something like that since the first 3 was far away from the others and RCZ understeers a lot but then I noticed that the A.I for some reason hits the barriers which made their cars spin around and stop. That really helped me going from the last place to the first place in those 5 laps.

Thr guy in the 2nd place was really catching on me during the final straight but I blocked him so I win.
