Won with a stock lightweight Lotus on Sport HARD tires @500PP. :D This car oversteers and turns in so nicely out from the stock form lol. However, it is not easy to tame this little beast at high speed because it will spin out with a slight touch on brake at the wrong time.

Downgrade your tires to SPORT HARD in any car you run... the race can be very challenging :)

For a challenge I did this with the 40th Tesla model S at 499PP. It tops out at 135mph. The rabbit was a Ferrari 599. Had to do some blocking on the final straight...

Just getting back to GT6 after a week hiatus due to work. Was sad to see the Ferrari seasonal at Ascari go, but I saw this new one at Daytona, and since I still had my 450pp Dino with tune by @Ridox2JZGTE as my current car from our little "450pp challenge" at Ascari, I decided it to give it a go on this seasonal. (I did switch back to SS tires)

It was a strange race. I blew past all of the AI within 3 laps, but then the rabbit (in my case an LFA) stayed on my tail. Then the SOB knocked me spinning on the straight leading up to the first turn on Lap 4.:banghead: I guess the insane AI are here to stay on the seasonals

After this I was able to catch up to him but never overtake. I tried again with similar results, then finally came up with a strategy. I stayed behind him all the way until the double chicane (not sure if that's the right term) on the backstretch. He was faster on the straights but terribly slow on the turns so I blew past him at this point and then held him off for the win by 0.10 seconds

So next I pulled out my 500pp Elise 111R '04 tune that I used for the prior SS5 seasonal It was able to beat this with no sweat with this setup, passing all AI for good early in the 2nd lap

First post here. I was bored and decided to try and race the Alpine A110 1600S 73 in the Daytona road course challenge. After winning the race, I decided to view the replay.... And what I first saw was unbelievable! Has anybody else seen this "big head" glitch in GT6?

Welcome to GTPlanet!

Yeah, that sure must give him a headache. :D

tried a few cars and its the same story

either drive like the devil in a 500pp slow car and the rabbits cant make up time

or drive less fast and end up blocking rabbits on the final straight

ewww... this isnt a fun way to spend 10 mins

Simple explanation, Kaz was driving.

Here's my No Aids Rocket '07 Tune.
My favorite car in the game. This is well balance to my style. Perhaps tuned a bit to understeer, but you can be extremely aggressive with the throttle and brakes with little to no fear of spin or slip.
I'm tinkering with a Cambered version. We'll see how that goes.

Runs 1:59s at Daytona RC.

Did you find yourself having to block and tackle against the LFA like I did?
I had a fight with the Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07 for 3 laps, but I had never had the LFA yet and I have had 3 races with the Dino and won the 3 but still know LFA.

I have raced this three times once with 02 NSX, 65 Shelby 350KTR(?) and a Ferrari Dino. The NSX race was fairly easy but the other were more difficult. I kept get spun on the last lap by the rabbit which annoyed me a little bit because I ended coming in 2nd with the Shelby by 0.1 of second and I did win with the Dino it was harder than it should have been.

I have had a few races with a yellow LFA that got pretty physical! I'm pretty used to seeing its lumpy, dented front end appear in the rear view mirror! Its a great Seasonal actually, especially if you stick to SH tyres instead of SS. I've had some great battles so far, and although that LFA has pulled some crazy moves on me, I would have to say the general racecraft of the A.I seems to be improving with every new group of seasonals.

Used a stock TVR Tuscan Speed 6 00, no adds or modifications just plain. Won every time. Rabbits were usually LFA Nurburg or Gallardo, easy to catch in open air.

This road course grew on while tackling the Midnight Racers (or whatever) in A-Spec career with my Spitfire.

I first tried the Mini Marcos, after putting on SS tyres - I actually did OK on my first attempt but I had the bully LFA who slammed me into to the barrier and an excursion onto the grass cost me, and I finished third.

Second race I caught up with the Lexus and a 599 on lap 3 and got ahead on the infield. They took me on the banking but I could totally own them through the bus stop chicane and be .8 ahead at the next marker. This wasn't enough to keep them at bay before the line though.

Same story for the next two laps; at the run-in I blocked the P2 Lexus and for once he stayed behind with just a little tap, but the 599 caught up and got through to beat me by 0.039 :dopey:.

So I brought out the Spitfire, honed on this very track  and applied SS tyres, running at around 480pp. First race saw the rabbit (can't remember what it was now) take none of my blocking shenanigans and spun me to the infield where I passed the line sideways in third place. Second race I was far enough ahead after the final bus stop to only require minimal blocking.

If you are trying this in underpowered cars, the bus stop chicane is critical for making up time - you have to be very aggressive through there and avoid getting caught up behind the AI. Great fun.

Fun this time with my Chevy Nova. I was hounded by the GTR but was able to hold him off in the twisties.

Had a fun race with my '02 Lotus Esprit V8 on this event. I was getting challenged by a Ferrari 430 Scuderia in the final three laps, but I held him off by under half a second.

I had just finished the Rocket time trial currently going on at Brands Hatch, so decided to try the car at this challenge while I still had the keys in it. Used the Exeter tune, except to back out the stage three engine tune to stock, move the limiter to the left to get to 500 PP and switch to the softer tires. Left the rest exactly as the tune calls for. Dang, this was fun. Got pushed off track in the fourth lap by the Ferrari, slid completely across the Daytona logo on the grass -NASCAR style- but managed to claw back in the fifth to win it. It's halirious to see that little open wheel take on those supercars, especially around corners!

 I do have a question for those who have run against the Nürb LFA. What top speed does this car run? I easily trounced the Ferrari through the road course but on the last lap it was like he got a burst of nitrous on the straight at the finish line. I still beat him by 1 sec., but my car was bouncing the rev limiter @ 162.

Pulkkinen tops out at 170.

Quite easy to find out if you want to try:

1: Boot up the event and make sure the LFA is in the field you are racing or keep recycling till you get that particular field (the car is driven by one of the top Intermediate rabbits, I. Pulkkinen, but the other top rabbits may also be there - Gasparini, Saari, etc - still Pulkinnen is the fastest.)

2: Do the race and make sure you are pushing Pulkkinen to the max, either by trying to overtake or by overtaking and taking off.

3: Save the Replay.

4: Play the Replay (you have to quit the auto-replay, save, and then pull up the replay to engage the sub-menus) and jump into Pulkkinen's car - you can now observe everything this rabbit does.

5. Enjoy.

Welcome to the world of the hardcore Gran Turismite. 👍 ;)

Well, I was wrong . . . but then again, when does the truth stay still? :D

Pulkkinen, when pushed can do 171 mph. He's still not the fastest when it comes to top speed - Saari is with 174 mph. Pulkkinen, that darn punk, urgh :boggled: still pulls the fastest laps.

As can be verified with the following graphics:

This particular line-up is with three of the top rabbits - what we might call 'Gold' rabbits.

Here's the view from Pulkkinen's car as I cross the line ahead of him:

Here's Saari at full throttle:

That Time Trial data our players are generating on the Leaderboards is so immensely helpful . . . it's like the code has already been written for PD, eh? ;) ;) ;) You might even call it ultra-realistic.

Will they be back to battle with us? You bet. With the Silver Rabbits and Bronze Bunnies, too.

Remember, it was Saari dominating the Series in the last 500 PP seasonal with his Lambo, taking full advantage of that car on that particular track.

This time it's Pulkkinen who is the faster in his LFA.
Thus spake the simulator.
