Hmmmmmmmmm. '54 Mercedes Benz 300 SL, now painted Diamond Red with a carbon hood, partial tune credit to @feydrautha. I made a few tweaks, full race transmission without a flip final @ 3.90 top speed to 174, bounces off the rev limiter @ 167 MPH for a very easy win. I hope you like this @Jeje6410 my good friend. Now I'm going to run the Chrome Line version which is 496 PP with part of @feydrautha tune and my tweaks. Hopefully I'll be back quick enough to post the win picture before someone else's post. Wonderful car and fun to drive. I almost forgot to give credit to @Motor City Hami because without his excellent manual for tuning I would not have had a clue what or where to tweak to get this car to handle they it does. It is slippery even with the aids I use but is control-able for me. I'm sure in the right hands this would be one of the best 500 PP cars in the game as well as one of the most beautiful.

Just ran the Chrome Line here's the results.

Easy win with the 300 SL Chrome Line, rev was bouncing a bit earlier, was a risky mistake but yet won. Amazing car to handle in the turns. With a proper tune, it's an amazing car to use in 500PP.

The other beautiful lady, '61 XKE takes the win. This was a very old tune by @praiano63 which I think I asked him to do for me. It has the speed but needs a little help with the steering. Twice I was in the grass, once on lap one, once on lap two, same place both times. After that I realized I needed to brake much sooner. Next I think I will use the '52 Abarth Biposto Bertone at 482 PP. It is great fun to use these early cars with such beautiful lines to out run all these new electronically controlled cars. If the AI could talk I believe they would say "what was that!!???" that just blew my doors off.

The Abarth B.A.T. was a really tough race on the long straights at Daytona, but @GhostRider65 tune ate them for lunch in the twisties. Had it not been for the cornering ability of the tune would not have been able to win as it is lacking a good top speed. Bouncing off the rev limiter while drafting. Got nailed in the rear by the 430 Scuderia on laps 1-3 while slowing to enter the road course section of the track and almost took me out on lap 2, but @GhostRider65 tune was so good that I was able to control the car and kept from ending up in the grass. This car will be a blast at Trial Mountain, Deep Forest even Ascari.

I think any 500 PP car you have in your garage will win this race easily. As long as you have a top speed of 170 MPH or more then it's easy credits in the bank.

So make it more interesting - if easy becomes boring - and try some stock cars with less than 500PP, like the Ferrari 512BB '76. It's fast enough to win, i found it a bit difficult to handle though.
The Ruf RGT '00 was easier to handle, but is a bit slower, still can win.

If SH tyres are to hard for you, put SM tyres on, but try it - winning is not everything - enjoy!

@AlexAlien, that's why I ran the 2 Benzes, the XKE and the Abarth 1500. The Chrome Line 300 SL was 496 PP, the Abarth was 482. I haven't yet tried to go to much lower PP, rather tried what I considered unsual cars. I tried it with the 2CV but it just didn't have the grunt and finished 7th. I have considered the Alpine you used. I haven't really gone through my garage to see what else I might try. I'm maxed out on credits and I really don't want to buy any more cars. I think I will give the '66 Beetle a go, along with the VW Bus, maybe the Schwimwagon. I only have 394 cars in my garage and another 37 in the stockyard. My guess is that I use about 15 % of the car I do have. I did use the RGT and don't have the 512 BB. I did have a lot of fun with the Abarth. We're still in the early days so there's plenty of time to try a combination. It's a long race with under powered cars. I have had a bit of fun with different cars at Silverstone and using my Bluebird 510 at Suzuka. I do understand where you're coming from though.👍

Had to spend some credits as was I was beginning to get tired of seeing all those credits go to waste. So I bought the '66 GT40 Mark 1. I just changed the oil and bought racing brakes, that was it. Ran against the Nurb LFA as this seems to be PD's rabbit of choice. Almost did a couple of 360's but was able to catch it before it got past the point of no return. Top speed was 155-158 bouncing off the rev limiter, but despite lacking the top speed this car in almost stock form was a blast to drive. Haven't used a car newer that 1966 with the exception of the stock RGT. I'm having more fun at this even than at Silverstone. Next is going to be the '66 VW Beetle. Since the last post was from me and that was Monday hopefully this isn't considered a double post.

The '66 Beetle, the 68 Karmann Ghia just don't have the get up and go for this race, even tuned to the max. I did however find another Ghia that did. I don't know where the tune came from but it was rubbish:crazy:. It took me 3 laps to figure out how to drive it:lol: but it would go 180 MPH on the long straights and that's the only reason I won. I put sports hard tires on it to try and make it more of a challenge. Since I had to reduce power to get to 500PP it was like driving on ice, I hit the wall, spun the in grass got smashed from the rear by the 430 Scuderia and into the wall. What an experience .

My latest win was with the Mazda Cosmo '67 @459 PP. I had to watch my rear view mirror on the last lap as the 430 was closing in fast. Did some NASCAR blocking to get the win. I was surprized at how well this little car drafts. I reached over to get my phone which was fine this morning.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:My 🤬 phone crashed so I'm sorry no picture.. Having to do a factory reset. So while I'm waiting I'll go and see what I'm going to use next. I wonder why it seems that I'm the only one having fun here. The payout is not bad and there's a load of different cars to choose from. Oh well ya'll just keep trying to beat the TS030 at Silverstone. As long as you're having fun that is what it is all about.

Edit: I found a tune believe it or not in the Tuning Forum:boggled: for the Plymouth Ghia by @GhostRider65. It's a great tune here at Daytona. Easily womped the F430 Scuderia by 3.026 seconds. I'll run both cars again once my phone is alive again.

3 more oldies, '67 Cosmo again, '54 Corvette and '74 Spitfire. Since it seems that i'm the only one running this event I'm not going to bother with pictures anymore. I am posting the Cosmo because I said I would. I will be glad when these are gone. Hopefully we'll get some better next go around.

I used a 396hp e92 bmw m3 - it wasnt too hard as there's lot of cutting to do on some corners however its clear there's a strong HP deficit... the LFAs have 500hp+?

They roast you on the straights so unless you're so good on the curves you lose them, you may need to 'drive defensively'.

Keeping with my oldies but goodies. 3 early Nissans. All under 500PP. The real challenge is the last lap. I can have a 1.5-2.0 second lead at the chicane and then sorta have to do some NASCAR type blocking. The closest was with the 280ZX. Still loads of fun.

Good work.

I had a go with my Spit on SH but couldn't get anywhere. It's under 500pp though and gearing meant it topped out around 150mph.

I just ran a 500pp TVR Tamora on SH to get gold.

For me this was the most fun of the recent Seasonals. I had such fun with both the old and the new technology. I want to thank @skeagracing for helping me understand how to tune for my self.👍 I have a basic grasp and with every new car I've used have gotten better with my own as well as improving tunes from other tuners. Specials thanks to @Jeje6410 and @shaunm80 for their hard work and tuning efforts. Thanks also to the :gtplanet: community because w/o the community GT6 would not have been much of a fun game.

With pleasure my dear friend. Thanks a lot :cheers:

For me this was the most fun of the recent Seasonals....

Same for me.
Thanks to Praiano for the basics of his setups, very good job.
Some personal adjustments for the races in general, and this one particularly
The new events offered by Sony, are rather annoying, not or not too many ideas from their programmers I think. The three made in around twenty minutes !!
So I'm going to change of game and turn a while to Project cars (waiting for the release of No. 2) and GT-Sports ...
Bye
