It means super light? At first glance, the car is heavy, but then I suppose it weighs in the same range as its competitors, and its high weight is well justified I suppose.

The name SL ( sport leicht ) comes from the first gen. SL (300 SL) .... and those cars were build to be light sport cars.... these days it should be SH .... Sport Heavy

Sorry to back track, just have to laugh at the pic of the NSX...with a '82 or so 323/GLC. "Nice!" - What me and that guy in the red coat at thinking. :)

I have no idea what this car is and i was wondering if anyone here does. If no one knows then someone else may post a question... BTW that is not me in the background, nor did i take the picture (my gf did). No that is not her in the background.

I decided to post this pic here rather than in the guess that car game or a new thread, so dont yell at me please...

Didn't the car have any brandname tags/labels/icons? If not, my guess would be that it's some kitcar.

I forgot to add that I wasn't there... The people who were with my gf said it was a maserati. However I find the side vents and areo hood, signs that point in directions away from maserarti. I was also thinking it was a kit car...Wish i could find a definate answer.
Well snoopie if you like you can post another question (or wait a bit for another answer)...

Do those side vents remind anyone else of amg/merc...

It's a Qvale Mangusta, has a Ford Mustang 4.6 V8 I believe. Has now stopped production, the design bought by Rover and has been rebodied and turned into the MG SV X Power:

This was designed for Group B and had a 1.8 litre 4 cylinder 16v lump with a turbo and supercharger. I'll ask the motorbike question first, but does this mean I have to ask another? :)

Q. What motorbike had a 32 valve engine and what was else was strange about this motor?

As a general rule, if you can find the answer with a keyword Google search, people are going to get it within minutes ;) Might want to aim for questions not easily 'googleable'.

<In Alex Trebec voice>

Only 3 examples of this car have ever been made, all sold to 'clients' who were required to sign contracts promising never to use them in racing. This ultra rare Ferrari closed cockpit racer is derived from a famous road car, which, in turn was developed along side a sports prototype which was a winner at Daytona.
