Do you want B-Spec in GT6? I think It would be better be just as the endurance race companion.

IMHO, B-Spec in GT5 is a bit terrible. All I did was to maintain the pace to the 3/4 bar. That's not how race director works isn't it? And the pit strategy is completely worthless. And between all the B-Spec events only the expert seasonal ones at le mans like what 2 events?

GT4 doesn't do any better. Its only select the 5th pace, hit triangle to overtake, fast forward, then wait till it finish or pit.

If you had a better mechanism, tell me :)

It probably wouldn't be hard to come up with a better mechanism, but to actually make B-Spec interesting would take far more work than PD are willing (and willing to admit that they'd have) to put in to it.

I expect it to be largely unchanged in GT6 but I won't be using it much if I can help it.

I don't really mind havin' B-Spec, it's actually kinda nice t' have a bit of a "laid back" option. I would, however, really dig if'n they brought back th' 1x, 2x, 3x viewin' option as some of us don't have 'nough free time t' run th' 24hr races. And if'n B-Spec is there, or any other part of th' game, I *have* t' finish it 'cause I cain't leave th' game @ less than 100% complete :)>

The concept of "B-spec" has a lot of potential but does need some serious reworking to actually be fun, probably the most obvious being the quality of the AI. The real potential I see for B-spec though is if there is with a proper career mode that combines both A and B spec modes, perhaps not unlike the career modes you see in a lot of sports games where you manage your team, have a calendar of events, etc.

Imagine starting your own race team with you as an owner / driver, it starts out with just you doing a rookie season or two in some low budget sports car series, then you start building a team by hiring other drivers, creating your own team livery, earning money and experience of some sort from racing (both yourself and having B-spec drivers running in race series, either with you controlling them or with the option to "generate the results").

As you / your team progresses you can you can buy more powerful race cars to enter different races and series, perhaps with some sort of scale starting with basic sports car spec series going up through more race modified sports cars and on through the various full on race car classes.

I don't personally care much for the really high end race cars, LMPs and F1 type open wheel stuff, so I'd be quite happy running in the lower ranked series with less powerful cars but be able to manage my B-Spec drivers and have them work up to the that top level.

Of course the chances of getting anything that in-depth are probably slim to none at least in terms of GT6, but one can dream :).

I never saw the point of watching the game play itself.

Couldn't care less about it now, wouldn't in the future.
