ABS Issue (WRX Time Trial 2/2025)

Greetings,

One of the current time trials features the Gr 4 WRX at Fuji (we track). After putting in a few laps and studying the second fastest current time in the world (which has a replay), I noticed that whenever that driver brakes at 100% on turn one, his ABS does not kick in.

This is the case even though you can clearly see on the graph that he has ABS on turn

Even similarly his braking point, pressure, and the speed that he shifts down the gears, my ABS always kicks in instantly.

How is it possible for him to break in the wet at a 100% without the ABS kicking in?

I took a picture of his lap as he is braking for turn 1 so you guys can see. Would appreciate feedback and advice.

Thank you.

The braking/ABS input shown in the bar on the replay isn't accurate in the slightest. Just ignore it, it's not really usable for guidance.

But it normally will show in WHITE how much ABS is modulating the brakes. And you can feel it working when braking, especially in the wet.

So the question is how is this driver braking avoiding ABS kicking in? If you watch the reply yourself, it almost looks like he is braking on dry road, but slowly. He is very stable not only braking straight, but taking the turn.

Again, even simulating is his brake pressure, my ABS kicks in right away. I’ve even tried both ABS settings and it still cannot replicate what that driver is able to do.

Anybody have any thoughts on how he is achieving this?

The white is the raw brake input, red is ABS interference.
As I said, in replays, it doesn't accurately show the brake pressure nor the ABS interference. What you are seeing in the replay is very likely not how he was actually driving.

As already mentioned by @Nebuc, you can't replicate the braking points by going off the braking bar alone - the game "doctors" the braking in replays. Here's a comparison between reality and replay. Also notice the discrepancy between longitudinal g-force and brake pedal input in the second picture, taken from a top ten replay.
