It just concerns me a bit since "for example" RSS recommends to make the purchases from sellfy.com so you have unlimited number of downloads. Makes me think downloading from their website directly you only get a ONE time download link.

Yes indeed I had that incredible TC on. Since the real car don't have TC I didn't pay atention to that setting and it was on by default. Simply I didn't remember to check it out. Still very unrealistic effect if you put in on, total arcade, no one car behives that way with TC.
But yes, once you disable that fantasy, the car behaves much more realistic and much more like the beast it is in reality.

I hope more mod creators use real settings and electronics in their creations. At the end of the day, this is a freaking simulator.
Sigh. The real car DID have both ABS and TC in the 2001 ALMS racing series. How do you feel now?

I dont know if you want piss me off because your tone is not friendly in your answers, but you are wrong, the real car have TC deactivated, that car never raced with TC on.

Two CM related questions.
1) When the program opens and loads picture libraries of cars/tracks... is there an option to have those images already stored in memory? (I know I can turn the image gallery into a simple text list)
2) On Windows 10, is it possible to assign CM more memory, to speed things up? Is that even a thing, or I'm making things up?

No on #2
I think what your getting at I think, you want to speed up AC. The biggest benefit is file compression. CM does it. It speeds up loading time of everything related to AC, is CM compresses using the ZXT(sp) algorithm that W10 has built in.
I use it, cars/mods and track folders are roughly 120gb. After compression it saved over %50 of space and load times are far far faster. And at any time for whatever reason, you can decompress those in one click.

True, you will only have one link. I would suggest archiving the email they send you with the link just in case you need it again in the future.

Might be good to share your setup, that may help a lot in targeting areas to adjust to get the most performance possible...

One of the biggest fps droppers in my experience has been when vsync is turned on. Turing vsync off I average about 120 fps and have seen dips into the mid 80's, and that is with max game settings except for god rays and heat because I don't care for it... If I turn vsync on I average about 50 fps! My current setup is an i7 @4.2 GHz, EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3, 32gigs of ram, SSD and 140 Mhz monitor. Another setting that can have a huge impact on performance is reflections, primarily how many frames are being rendered. I remember when this game first came out I was using a 3GB GTX580 and could never run reflections maxed out. Turning in game settings down don't help at all? As far as the shader patch, have you tried any of the optimizations features it has?
Thank you for all of the explanations, that's just enough for me! I'll try it out later what you said! 👍

Damn! I still had Versions 1.0, thanks man.

The 2001 M3 GTR had TC. How do I know? Because when Road and Track drove the car, they specifically mentioned that it had TC - but it wasn't working that day. It also had ABS. Want proof: https://www.roadandtrack.com/motorsports/a22767418/2001-bmw-m3-gtr-test/

Here's the relevant section:

Traction control isn't working. You don't need it. There's enough grip that it'd only interfere if you were monumentally, catastrophically stupid. You can stand on the brakes without risk of locking them up, the ABS works just fine. I start to pop it up on curbs to help it turn. The engine sounds just as outlandish from the inside, with the free added bonus of gear whine.

TC wasn't working that day on an old race car, but the fact that it had TC in the first place (along with ABS, which you also claimed the original didn't have btw) indicates that Yes, the car raced with TC. They don't put things like TC and ABS on a specialized race car unless they can USE them. Why do you think it's there? For driving home from the track?

yeah, i think so too, saame goes for appexxers gt-one, see here.
http://www.speedhunters.com/2010/04/retrospective_toyota_gt_one_ts020_unfinished_business/

it also had TC and ABS irl, but i think in the latest version its all removed.

the late 90s had a ton of highend sportscars, the CLK-GTR also had TC and ABS, there werent any rules that prevented them from using it,
reminds me of the re-introduction of TC in F1 2001 cause at that time it wasnt possible to detect the use of it, just nowadays when all car data goes directly through the FIA systems

Wtf are you talking about, Traction Control was banned in all LMP and GT classes in ALMS, LMES, LeMans, and FIA GT. And yes the Bmw GTR from 2001 is ALMS class.
It has TC but, as i said, deactivated. Those are street based cars. The street car of course have TC. And by the way I never said it does not have ABS.

But the point is not that about the mod. The point is that if you do activate TC in this mod in in Asseetto Corsa is not a realistic TC, the car does incredible things. Once you turn off TC it is a good mod, and I never said the opposite.

I have enough of you and this disccussion. Really man, let it be.

I honestly don't give a rat's about the argument you two are having (though if you're going to make a claim, you should cite your sources rather than just make assertions that you're right and he's wrong. Otherwise you'll both argue like children until you piss everyone in this thread off), but just wanted to point out that TC in Assetto Corsa is only really there to help people who are no good at the game, or who play using controllers. It's not meant to be super realistic per car and behave like the various real life TC implementations, it's a driving aid in a videogame. If you want realism in a sim, the first thing you do is turn off the driving aids. It's sim racing 101 dude.

Awesome, one of my favourite mods updated again. Thanks for the share mate. My mod count is getting too high for me to remember to periodically search for updates for all the ones I like haha!

How so? The mid 2000 F1 cars were famous for being to able to jump on the throttle due to driving aids like TC. Or driving a GT3 car without ABS and TC wouldnt make it behave like the real thing either. I use factory on all cars, and for example, in WEC, they use the higher TC settings to save tyres. Its all depended on many factors, and i can enjoy Supercars/DTM without assists.

I get your point, but turning everything off isnt a solution for realism
