Ema
Hi to all.
I'm making a conversion from RF2 of the Valencia Ricardo Tormo Circuit, authorized by DA-DIGGA from simracingteam.
Obviously is wip state and i can only loading and viewing with free camera F7, not driving, so any help to find some bug is appreciated (i found one writng this message... old circuit logo on the marshall tower on the starting line :D ).
Thank you
Hi Ema,
looks nice and neat. Nice job, some odds here and there, but nothing hard to fix. 👍
Overall it have imo to much reflective materials. I don´t know if it´s the actual CSP, but on my side the fences at pits cast full shadows.
Nevertheless, I jumped in and made a new quick´n´dirty config. It´s not finished yet nor finetuned. Hope you don´t feel like I hijacked your project, just want to help a bit. :)
Most things could be transferred back to material settings in kn5 file, but I didn´t wanted to edit it without permission.
If you want/need more help, just send me a PM. :D

AssettoGarage Lexus LFA GT1 BoP Tune V.1

This zip file includes: one new data folder and one new sfx folder.

View attachment 896085

A couple test runs, a few catastrophic failures, and one file rename later. I'm glad to say the Lexus LFA GT1 BoP Tune is ready to go. You can follow the link above to my google drive where the tune is available for download.

This file is a lot more than just a simple BoP tune for the LFA, it's a fix for two other issues as well that I had with the car. The first is the engine sound. I was able to get the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package sound mod by Juliusz Baczynski working on the car. Then I raised the rev limiter and adjusted the gearing to match. I also lowered the weight of the car (from 1295kg or something around there) to 1150kg in order to make it a little more competitive with the other GT1 cars. Finally, I added new F6 replay cameras from another car to fix the broken cameras of the original.

The car has a limited top speed of 300km/h due to its new gearing. It has much faster acceleration and is more nimble in the corners compared to the Zonda R, but it gets smoked on circuits with long straights like Le Mans. I have also bestowed it with much better brakes than the Zonda R. This LFA is smaller than the other two cars and is more at home on tighter, technical circuits like Laguna Seca. The BoP-tuned LFA is capable of lapping most circuits within a second or two of the Zonda and MC12.

Changelog over base LFA GT1:

- New F6 GoPro/Replay cameras added
- Added LFA Nürburgring Package V10 sound mod
- Lowered weight to 1150
- Power remains at 620HP
- Rev Limiter increased to 8300 RPM
- Adjusted gearing with top speed at 300km/h
- Increase in brake torque to 3600NM

Known issues:

- Tire squealing broken due to sound mod, no known fix. PM me if you think you can help

Install Instructions:

Download Lexus LFA GT1 from Assettoland

1. Save dropbox tune zip file linked above to a location different from base car's zip file
2. Extract file and copy data and sfx folders
3. Make sure data in base car's folder has been extracted using content manager
4 Replace data and sfx folders inside base car's folder using the new files extracted from the dropbox tune zip file
5. Delete 'data.acd' file from base car's folder if it still exists
6. Make sure to check the base car and fix any remaining issues using Content Manager's analyze feature.

*Again, I don't take credit for the mods I base this tune off of. I am simply sharing the setup I use to make it more enjoyable for myself.*

Hello, mirror possible, unable to download limit exceeded.
what another cars in vidoe, grid preset may be good to get comfortable grid to race against link in vidoe.

Thanks

Post 3 skins on RD, for:

-Bernese Alps (fm7)
(change pine with snow ones[really change the global feel of the track], change bush for bush without leave, change background horizon luminosity for a more realistic feel)

-Mapple Valley (fm7)
(change Background color to prevent purple horizon, change tree color to more natural ones, change luminosity of the trees to get all the trees with the same luminosity, change luminosity of the road to get more details [leave on the road etc])

-San Francisco (Grid)
(change billboards, concrete blocks, kerbs to get something more natural and to be close to american street circuit like Long Beach, change arrows (the arcade ones) for real ones)

My goal for all this tracks, was to give them a more natural and realistic feel

.

I have quick feedback i hope it can help.
You spell maple wrong in folder, you have "mapple" instead should be "maple" (so it need to be renamed by user to install correct).
Trees still very bright as seen in pic.

For maple i think remove all trees and replace with natural dark trees (like original ones from bernese alps etc). Pink white purple trees not look good in most lighting conditions and shaded poorly. Dark trees blend in better with most condition and need less user input.

Alps track background now too dark, now it lose distance effect, trees with snow are to bright and have not much shadow (too bright). They stand out very much and dont blend into scene well.
I take screens and switch between 2, but prefer original by large amount as it has more depth and contrast, but this easy fix by just giving snow trees some way to blend in (darker/shadingetc) and make background a little brighter to compensate for distance effect.

SanFran is very good, i would like to see more dirt/wear on all signs, adverts, flags, barriers and buildings. My biggest problem with sanfran is how clean and light grey all buildings are. any way to make buildings marked and dirty and dark would be better. look like they were all built yesterday in bright white cement XD

but good so far, tweaks needed and hope this not seen negatively, but constructively.
My English is bad, i sometime put wrong words in that maybe to direct or formal. But good work, but need more tweeks and few bugs fixing. I like to see next update!

Does car tuner simplify this process as well then?

I only have limited experience with Car Tuner, but it appears to do all the heavy lifting for you, re: renaming everything to have a working duplicate, and it even makes it a child car to the original. You gotta do an engine or sound swap, which I believe you can do from the same parent car, and then boom - it's all done. Pretty simple if you ask me :D

Edit: Actually, it's even easier than that!! Open Car Tuner, select AC folder, choose a car, enter a new tune name (example: S1) and click Create New Tune. Done! Car is now duplicated and all necessary changes are done. Easy peasy!

Edit 2: Oh btw, Car Tuner is using QuickBMS as well :dopey:

Had a quick look and noticed you don't a surfaces.ini. You probably have planned to add this anyway, but just thought I'd point it out just in case. This is needed in order to add pit lane speed limiter and invalidate lap times going off track etc etc. This might fix the lap timing too but I'm not 100% on that one.

For a WIP this is in a very good state already, well done! It's good that you have reached out for help, you now have a working AI line by @__EASY__ and some nice material fixes by @slider666 . Keep us updated

I have quick feedback i hope it can help.
... I like to see next update!

Thanks a lot for the time you take to make a feedback.

-For the name, there must be different version, in my assettocorsa/content/tracks folder, the name is mapplevalley, maple with 2p.
-For the yellow tree too bright, I don't know, I also thought about it, but this kind of tree are like this for real and now they are already less colored, I will see if others users complain about it.

-For the brightness in alps, too bright and other things too dark, on my side I don't got any problem, i use the AC2020 setting with ppfilter, csp and reshade, and the overall scene is really balanced in term of brightness or darkness.
I calibrate the color, contrast, luminosity, white of my screen, and everything is really ok.

Well, here's an ACC track converted. First one I've seen.
Should probably just leave the trees as is, they look perfect!
And the song in the video isn't annoying at all. Good stuff!

The first? Well there it is. Thanks for the sarcastic compliments. ;)

Is this another Mario Kart conversion? Music sounds like it should be from there..and those trees are like the Disney Park trees.

Jesus christ, it clearly says v1 in the title. I just wanted to prove, and share that it's possible. Just a friendly reminder that some people do this stuff free of charge in their own spare time. Being rude doesn't encourage people to share anything.

ACC tracks in AC this game for me mean AC live forever!
Someone doing NFS, others Mario, ACC, sega rally, and origonal mods :D this is crazy amazing time for AC!

What is this black car in his video?

Thankyou for not being rude, the car is the Praga R1 that comes with the DLC "TRIPL3 PACK". Also, you can add Dirt Rally conversions to the list. ;)

Thank you, great night lights effects :D
I find too dark a couple of materials (tirewalls and blue turf on road side) and there is another (a shading line between sand and grass) with trasparency messed up. Anyway, great help, absolutely appreciated, i'll try to add in the kn5.

Yes, i know something about the sufaces.ini....
Unfortunatly, as i said, i can't test this on track (i'm not at my home for personal reason, so i haven't my rig/wheel) and so i ask your help to complete some of this stuff.
I hope to complete soon Valencia and i have 2 or 3 more tracks that i want to complete in the same way, another conversion from RF2 and some old AC tracks unfinished by the creators.
Thanks to all, also to @__EASY__ for the AI line

Wonderful idea but unfortunately the server has been returning download quaota exceeded messages for more that 10 hours. But that's an Assettoland issue...

Wonderful idea but unfortunately the server has been returning download quaota exceeded messages for more that 10 hours. But that's an Assettoland issue...

That’s unfortunate. Hopefully they can get that issue fixed soon. If you want I can PM you the base car’s file if you are still having trouble accessing it.

Thanks

The download issue is a problem that Assettoland is having. Either find another way to download the Lexus or PM me and I'll send it to you.

Here is the preset I use for racing the LFA GT1:

Could you please send me a picture of your Alps scene with the bright tree and dark background.
Thanks in advance

Hello Pepperoni. I use maple valley here, is most updated version and spell correctly (correct track name is maple not mapple)

My version, last time i tried it have no issue at all with any car. I've tried also with formula one cars lowered as much as possibile, so basically i'm sure everything will works more than fine ;)

Simply because i made it the same day the first version come up online (so i think more than a year ago) then i kept as it is while i'm trying to learn how to make lights working and the other stuff like grass 3D and so on whitout any luck and more importan without time to do it. Tomorrow as soon as i'm at the pc where i have the track i will upload and share here, hope someone will be able to update as needed ;)

EDIT: Download --> https://sharemods.com/hnglcv9wh0z9/FM7_-_Maple_Valley_v1.1_updated_by_CrisT86_for_AC_1.16.3.rar.html

Here is screen shot of description i make about trees:

New trees with snow seem too light / bright / green. they are same trees as exsisting trees (but with extra snow) so should mean they appear darker (as more contrast - with snow). But these trees stand out very much in the scene as bright and not shaded or blended, origonal forza trees blend in better.

Background in your pic is better, than default forza one, but is little too dark and feels close. Maybe 10/20% lighter (in between original and 0.9) will give it scene of being in distance again, or maybe add gradient etc.

i like these mod as they can make track much better, and direction is good, just need some extra tweeks.

Maple could be very good if you just replace all trees for real life trees like the default ones from Alps as they are good looking trees.
I hope you make more mods, summer, winter, autumn and maybe some exciting new ideas too. I like these, i for sure not being negative as i like these mods very much and want to help improve them with feedback, hope that is visible.

No problem :)
I look forward to see what you do next, the fact you get this to exsist is amazing, ACC tracks are very very good scans!
Thank you for name of car, i have put this added to my list of favourites now, very fun car to drive, fast, grippy and lots of fun.

looking forward to next update from you, using ACC car on ACC track in AC will be wow moment for me, my talent is in other area, but i respect all who do this and take time share with us.

Dirt Rally track is very very good! :D
It even look better in AC than it do in DR2 and have dynamic time etc.

Amazing time for AC right now!

Hello Pep ... want to help improve them with feedback, hope that is visible.

I see the problem, indeed, they are way too bright on your screenshot, don't know what to do, because on my screen and some other person screen it's ok :/

For maple valley, on your advice, i post a new skin, a summer one with green tree ;)

I am sorry, my comments were not intended to offend in any way. I was making a joke simply because another Mario Kart track had been revealed and my comment was about the music in your track and the trees and not the track itself. I probably should have included a ;) or 2

Anyway well done for ripping a track successfully I am pleased to see more people doing this and getting successful results

It's watching cars like this in the Australian Improved Production races that inspired the idea. (though this livery may be beyond my skillset :nervous:)

I'd be more than happy to do some skins for you. Send me any reference images of skins you want I'll see what I can do for you

EDIT: Awesome. This car comes with a decent set of templates so hopefully I can do some decent skins for it.

For maple valley, on your advice, i post a new skin, a summer one with green tree ;)

Great plan :)
I think those trees are not so good (not your work, but actual forza trees from track) your work improve them HUGE amount but they need update.
I took more screen shots of the trees (pic 1/2) and it seem that they differ severly with time of day as seen here:
Worst they look at 15:30 on the corner i was parked in previous post. here time was 12:and 13: i think.

But they always look unatural to me, not from your work, but from turn10 low fidelity trees :D
Something like summer using better assett trees (or even winter) like as this third image (this is monza and Deems Winter Packl from RBS) would really suit this track: Trees here look amazing reality in stills and motion.

I think maple is a loved by many and an update to trees, road txture (is flat boring and needs more skid marks) would be very very good. i like using maple with cars from froza too :) so i love to see your update and salute you for sharing this project.

I look forward to seeing new trees, nice road texture if possible with dark skid marks and darker texture and marks on sighes like your AWESOME work in you rSanFran skin! SanFran is BIG improvement and i have no critism on that at all except i want MORE of it :D

Have a little patience, big updates to this track are coming soon. I can't say too much but I'd recommend people don't start updating some things (the road surface for example) as these are already being worked on, along with a LOT of other things. Maple Valley is finally getting the respect it deserves. It'd be a shame if the same things were being worked on by different people at the same time, that's why I'm saying this now. All will be revealed soon.
(Feel free to update the trees if you want - they aren't currently on the list)
