Calling all modders :cheers: When I start in pit with a car and it says invalid setup and cant start to drive. I know I need to adjust the suspension height so the error message goes away. But I also know that it can be fixed permanently be fiddling with one of the .ini files. Now I don't remember wich one and wich line. Could anyone help me out? Cheers! :)
 
Guys sorry to bother you but how do I duplicate a car??? I want to duplicate the BZ Dodge Viper to use it for traffic but I dont know how, please help!

Just copy the car you want duplicated’s folder inside of the Assetto Corsa cars folder and paste it again.

Personally i use the assetto corsa car tuner mod found on RD. It creates a car form the 'parent' car which you can then make a stand alone.
Its designed for swapping engines but if you want the same car but duplicate..swap in the same engine...then you have your duplicate car...
If there is a better way i am all ears..
 
that wont do, I copied the car inside the car folder but threw a bunch of errors

If you are renaming the copied car folder then you also need to rename the kn5, the lods.ini and in the sfx folder rename the bank file and any reference to the renamed car in the GUIDs.txt

Oh and rename inside the ui_car.json as well otherwise it won't change the name in content manager

Edit: didn't realise this car is around three years old, lol.

This Porsche 944 Turbo Cup Race 1989 by Dennis Plinke has issues, but I'm a sucker for big spoilers, flared wheel arches and deep splitters on race-prepped cars and it's the first bodykitted 944 in AC that I'm aware of.

Wonder if this Dennis Plinke might be interested in doing something similar to AD's excellent 928..?

It's definitely a great handling vehicle and lots of fun to throw around. I had a lot more fun driving it after I lowered the seat so I wasn't seeing above the front roll bar any longer.
How do you feel about the 944 Turbo Wangan version?

Excellent! Only thing is the very heavy steering (I have to decrease ffb strength) in comparison with other cars. Forme a minor detail. Just curiousif others also experience this heavy steering? Otherwise it could me something onmy side. DD1 wheel user.
But the level of detail both physics and graphics are sublime! Thanks.

Happens all the time. Personally I like the FFB Multiplier to be somewhere around 2.5. Nobodies wheels are going to be exactly the same. Sometimes you get in a car and it's say 4.7. You'll know right away and it's an easy fix. Go into car.ini and reduce the value. Doing it through the side screen apps gets the job done as well though.

I'm making a conversion from RF2 of the Valencia Ricardo Tormo Circuit, authorized by DA-DIGGA from simracingteam.
Actually i can't use my driving rig, so i can't make the AI. Anyone can help me and do it?
This is the track in actual state:

Obviously is wip state and i can only loading and viewing with free camera F7, not driving, so any help to find some bug is appreciated (i found one writng this message... old circuit logo on the marshall tower on the starting line :D ).

If anyone here has the Lexus LFA GT1 by AssettoGarage (the one you download on Assettoland), I think I just did something you might enjoy.



It took me a bit of time to 1: Download the LFA sound mod from Racedepartment, 2: Track down the awful RTM Lexus LFA mod, 3: Install the mod, use content manager to swap the sounds and play around in the data folder.

In the end, I got everything bundled up in all that LFA V10 glory, so I think it was worth the effort. If you've used the LFA GT1 mod, you know the worst part of it is not having a good sound for the car, but if you want I can drop the data folder and sfx folder from mine so you can have the same sounds.

Basically what I've done:
- Made the V10 LFA Sound from Racedepartment work with the LFA GT1
- Increased the rev limiter to match the new sound

Stuff that sucks (for now):
- The sound mod deletes the tire noise from the car, confirmed by the author (he never bothered to fix it, so thanks)
- Haven't tested the increased revs with the AI or tested lap times yet

Sounds alright to my ears. Can I "borrow" your sound for the @megolito LFA from ages ago as I never liked the sounds for that one but it drives really well if i remember correctly.

Nice idea.
But could you change the folder name. As it is now it will overwrite valencia street circuit (Codemasters - updated by Delta7Fox) that has the same name.
I changed the name (and the needed files) to valancia_rt.
And it wouldbe better not to use capitals in the file names, CM does not like that.

I'll test it, but to do so, I'll have to temporarily remove the "valencia" folder for the F1 track that I have.

Could you rename it to something like "ricardo-tormo_ema" or some other variation?

Thanks, i don't mind at the folder name because i actually have a city version named acu_valencia (where i can find the updated version? EDIT: i have deltafox update, is a simple skin, but my ACU's track is still named acu_valencia)
Anyway i will change the name :)
My track is drivable?
For sure the guardrails doesn't work as collider walls, because i haven't still renamed in the correct way.
