I think I might give up an the F-14 event too, I did 10 sorties today and only got to around the 7000-mark. If I let that slip I might get the aircraft research reports, plus I can also start ranking on the regular jet event. I'm about one or two sorties away from the rank of Captain!
 
And then I farmed 300000 credits and accidentally bought Mission 4 :banghead:

It was ... underwhelming, I was saving that for the Su-35 upgrades, now I have to start all over again (got that amount after 15 sorties), rank 6423th as of now, and almost ran out of fuel, gotta wait until tomorrow to get all the challenges and get more sortie tickets to rank up, but there are still 2 days left until the ranked event is over, and I really need to step it up if I want to rank 1000th, is possible but the lack of variety is killing it for me.

Well at least you are rank 7000. I've yet to start the damn tournament.
 
So is anyone having trouble with ACI failing to communicate with PSN? I've managed to finish some pressing school work and tried to get some time in so I can get that Osea Roundel only for this to happen. :grumpy:

I'm probably gonna stay up tonight since Ramadan starts tomorrow and play with the Japanese mooks to catch up. That is if I can actually play the game.

Edit: So I managed to get some flying time in. Jumped from 41000 to like around 34000 after two sorties with the F-14, so getting to 10000 shouldn't be an issue come this July 1st. What's going to be an issue is asshole hosts closing rooms when we get to Moby Dick Pursuits. Seriously can't these d-bags just wait until we finish to mission to close the room? Infuriating.

I had to leave the game from sheer anger because some d-bag decided to close the room right before Moby Dick II was about to start. I mean literally 3 seconds before it started. :mad:

I should personally message these guys asking why they are closing the rooms. Especially since Moby Dick pursuits make good money.

I gave up on the F-14 event and am glad for it, I've slipped just outside the top 10,000 which means I'll probably get the aircraft research reports. On the other hand, after a HUGE amount of frustration with this game constantly disconnecting from the host, and some forced sorties, I made the top 5,000 of the regular jet event. Tomorrow night I'll be doing some more, hope to at least stay in the top 5,000.
I also just reached the rank of captain and the F-35 is unlocked, I just need $100k more which shouldn't take long with forced sorties. Next goal after that will be the Pak-T50.
 
Well me and @Bobert power teamed up and managed to climb up the ranks for the F-14. He was somewhere around upper 3000s and I'm in the upper 8000s. Hopefully I can get back on later tonight and make a push for upper 6000s at least so when I sleep and wake back up I'll be within the 10000 range.

By the way the Alps Mission is glitched and sometimes won't give you an S-ranking even when you clearly destroyed every target.

Update: I'm in 2821st place now. Yes the Alps mission is glitched too. I got my challenges reset, so i'm ready for more sortying.
 
I didn't get online again.:indiff: Guess I'll miss out on the top 5000 of the regular event, oh well, doesn't bother me too much I guess.

I got work and too much stuff going IRL, I can't keep up with this.



I'm not quitter ... but I'm quitting, I might make the effort for the Yellow 13 Livery, or any Ace Combat zero livery, but not for this. Is a pointless effort if I have to grind the game whenever I'm free, and the rewards aren't that great since I don't care too much for the F-14, even if it has the Wardog livery.
 
Well I'm gonna get back on soon after I shave. Making that last push to cement myself in the top 10000 at least. Last I left I was at 4800, but I'm sure I dropped some.
 
I finished in the top 20k of the F14 event and top 10k of the regular event despite not making it online on the last night. And 🤬 has anyone seen the new ADFX-01 special jet?:eek: It's a random drop for this month and looks to be the best Multitole jet in the game with a new type of special weapon at level 4. I WANT!:drool:

Possibly. ACI should at least add a "I'm out of fuel" in the chat thing.

And I managed to finish 4835 for the Tomcat, and 8745 for the General Aircraft tournaments. Hope we get the rewards soon.

@Paulie: My level 10 F/A-18F takes exception to that. :lol:
 
Late to the party but:
I never intended to go all out for the Wardog event. I mean I like Ace Combat 5 and all, but it was too demanding to obtain the plane and I really didn't care too much for it. Now if there was an event for Galm planes/liveries....that's a completely different story..
Does Belka/the Belkan Air Force have an official Emblem? (slightly directed to @Akira AC, seeing as though he's from the city and all)

Theory?:
Assuming that we had to use an F-14 to obtain the Wardog F-14, would it be plausible to assume that way may, just may have to use other planes for other squadrons? Example: F-15C for Galm, SU-35 for Yellow Squadron (even if it isn't the exact same plane) etc etc.. Thoughts? Because if that's the case, I'm already leveling up my Eagle 👍.

In other news:
I finally got my T-50, however the F-22 won the sprint, so it's already at level 2, and I haven't even used the F-22 in an online match yet. My next job will be obtaining the Solo-Wing ADFX-01, because of course I want it. Sortie to plane ratio so far: 10:0

Note that roundel is different from emblem, ie:


Roundel (RAF):

As to why Project Aces decided to make everything with the same emblem, instead of having the chance of having a roundel, a number/letter and an emblem is beyond me, the plane has 3 slots, which normally are used to ID the aircraft squadron number(or letter if applies, for example prototypes and such), the squadron emblem and the roundel.

It could be done with one of the PSP games (Join Assault), as to why we can't in this game is hard to understand, I don't try to think about it too much but is a little off-setting if you want to have either IRL roundels or Strangereal ones, it might be because of how the story is set up but still doesn't explain why we can't mix them up since we could in older times.

In other news I finally got the F-35 :dopey:. At what rank does the 3rd special weapon get unlocked? Because the HCAA missiles are beyond useless, the GPB will be little better but the 4AGM missiles I could probably use.

I dont know if its the same for every plane but i saw somewhere it was level 7 for a few of mine.

So I actually encounter a Moby Dick III emergency sortie. And what does the Host do? Close the room. 🤬
