address displays

Hey, I'm not too sure what the proper name is, but you know the part where all your "back, foward, print, stop buttons" are and where you type in the "web address"? I've seen people with computers where they have special displays on that part. How do I get those and where would I get them? Thanks.

Oh yeah, I'm using IE.

I think you are looking for this one ; Go to "View" --> "Toolbars" and then put a tick next to the "Address bar" option.

problem solved?

I'm not looking for anything technical. All I want is some kind of display or skin that I could dl off the net or something to make the top look nicer when I'm surfing the net. :P I think I just described what I wanted poorly. I'm sure you guys have seen people have it, its like they get a little "background picture" or something like a car or some kind of design on the part that has the "back" buttons and stuff.

I think I know what he's talking about but I just can't remember the name. It is a program that allows you to skin Internet Explorer. It is pretty cool. You can make IE look like wood or metal :P

Ack... I dunno how well the IE skinners have done with "natural elements", but I know that all of the OS 9 K-schemes based off of wood or something natural like that were all fugly. :P Metal, when done correctly, looks nice (it needs to be a fairly simple gradient, and not too much emphasis on the white part, otherwise it just gets distracting).

yeah, I think that's it. It's were the toolbars (duno if this is the right term) and stuff are. I want to jsut get like a picture of a car or something like that...

www.hotbar.com

Download it, install it and it will skin your IE toolbar. You can get skins from the Hotbar website.

woops

Yeah, you would be looking for something like hotbar then. But personally I wouldn't get that one, hotbar can be a pain.
