AI in Multiplayer

Ive not seen or heard of this .. any source ?
just the little tell tale signs.

1 - The meeting place. This is the most USELESS feature ever created, because it's the most simple way of making a multiplayer server, but it does show the capacity to run multiplayer from the single player side of the game.
2 - The GTWS drivers are featured in single player and in some races, there are "no name" drivers at the back of the back. This might indicate a desire to have a mix of real players and bots in single player
3 - Sophy itself. The "AI" gets a lot of flack, but it's perfectly capable of being a competent experience for most people. The biggest issue is that the race set up is an awful "catch first place from last place" experience. However, blending traditional GT Ai with real players would be a super stark contrast. Blending something like Sophy with people will make for a better experience.

OR, like engine swaps, we might not see anything for a decade, or ever.

Maybe if a multiplayer lobby can not fill a full field of 10 or more drivers maybe real driver do not want to participate in a game of AIs . GT7 has plenty of AI gaming Lets keep real, real.
I think you’re playing the wrong game if you think GT7 is the realest of the real. Lol. I’m with the OP, it doesn’t affect you at all, if my friends and I want to make a private lobby and populate it with AI. It’s as simple as that, make that option available in private lobbies only so you don’t even have to know somebody is racing against AI somewhere in the world. Lol

I have to admit I do not know why a few gamers want GT7 to be more make believe with AIs in multiplayer. I was under the impression that PD was promoting car racing and sportsmanship in its multiplayer part of the game software. I don’t think Wreckfest in GT7 multiplayer should have a place . if you can not find enough real people to play it could be a waste of server space .

If it’s a private lobby only feature what would you care? You’d be oblivious to the fact it’s even happening. Lol. Wreckfest and GT7 are two completely different games anyway.

Wreckfest is an entirely different game.

And we'll have no more of your elitist, "real racers" vs "gamers" rubbish.

Here's just a handful of reasons
- You can't always get 20 people to join a multiplayer race. Sometimes, you can't even get 2 people to join
- Racing your ghost is often the most fun thing. Now imagine a room full of drivers that drive just like you.
- Among the millions of people who buy the game, the skill level varies WILDLY. For some people, multiplayer is not an option because either they are not up to the requisite skill, or their skill level is full of people who will ruin the experience for them
- Multiplayer is quite often on someone else's time. It's super difficult to have 20 minutes to yourself and find a good multiplayer race. Having a co-op mode increased the chance of having a decent race.

I bet that if I put you in a room filled with GT7 AI and let them actually run at full capacity, but I named them the online ID of other players, you probably wouldn't know the difference between the AI and real people.

I, for one, would like it for Multiplayer lobbies... not to be confused with Sport mode lobbies.

One of my buddies and I like to have races, but it's just the two of us usually. Would be cool to throw in half dozen AI cars just to break up the monotony.

AI is worse then GTS had, this is first reason, second and more obvuous reason is probably that PD doesn't give a chance to bad connection... GT7 (as any GT before and most games on consoles) don't have dedicated servers, and if for example you put AI in a race with other people, and for some reason race host gets bad connection here and there imagine lag that could those AI and host have towards everyone in the lobby...

You are right, it is 21st century, and we are still have limitation of 16 players which is pretty dumb...

it would presumably be so easy to add these kinds of suggestions, but the level of communication pd has there is little chance of this happening. question: can you race against a friend on the same grid alongside AI in games like acc or iracing?

I'd like to be able to get together a few friends for an endurance race and fill the field with AI in lower level cars. It would be a neat way to simulate a WEC race, where the fastest cars have to battle though the lower divisions to catch each other
