What's the fastest way to get this trophy?

I did use the search bar but no answer came, I would have to use a search inside the search results :dunce:

I have one Bob with 344 races won, but the white bar is stuck on the middle since 100+ races ago. Will I win the trophy with this Bob? Online profile shows the bar 3/4 of the way but it seems to be stuck there from long time ago too. I have friends with less than 50 races won and half of the bar full. So I'm starting to wonder.

It has nothing to do with how many races the bob has done. As I understand it, it only has to do with how many "days" have passed (how many races you have run) in b-spec since you created the bob. So the first bob you created will reach the end of career first, even if you never race him, and only race the other 5. IIRC.

Now you leave me wondering even more :dopey:

Pretty sure thats correct.

My bar also seems stuck at the middle? Whatever... PD is the one thats running things as we've seen. When I get there, I get there.

In my experience, it seemed to be quantity of races as I got the Trophy after doing a lot of X1 Sunday Cup races with a high ranking Bob.

So, I'll try with Sunday Cup races.

Now, do I have to go back to the menu and reenter the race or is it enough with restarting the race once is over in order to make races count?

Just keep restarting.

Thanks for the help, that's the only trophy I have left to -finally- earn the Platinum trophy.

No problem, good luck with it, I did it whilst working on the house, pressed the button everytime I went past the telly!

My drivers all seem to be progressing their career at different rates. I have the maximum number of Bobs, 1 of which I have had since day 1 and he is only around half way through his career bar, another I have had for about a week and he is almost halfway through his career, the remainder I have had for a week and they have barely registered.

It's not as if I use the one progressing the most more often than the others, I have been doing endurance races with multiple Bobs.

Did you really put your Bob in the X1 at Sunday Cup races?

That's like brining a chainsaw to a steak dinner. Jaysus!

Yes, indeed. But it's the fastest way to progress b-spec days.

You can't start a race and quit immediately, and repeat that process to get the experience/career bar to progress. You have to finish each race and get the screens showing you that your Bob has earned both money and XP...

I hit B-spec level 40 a couple of days ago, still at least 100 B-spec days (races) away from the trophy. So I had to resort to this tactic, which seems to be the fastest way...
I was kind of hoping (it seemed natural) Remote Races would count towards the b-spec days, as I could help friends along at the same time as well, but noooo! Of course PD had other plans.

Really??? This is new to me, I also have to get this trophy to get platinum and I have been running remote races to get it. The trophy should be won if you run 500 races, so why remote races wouldn't count?
Can anybody confirm this?

I think remote races don't count towards the exp bar, I ran like 150 remote races and the exp bar didn't increase a pixel.

Now I'm grinding the Sunday cup. Grind, grind, grind. After like 15 days grinding B-Spec 24h nonstop I still have grinding to do. Jesus.

Yes. Same here.
I raced RR for a week constantly. It was when i reached level 40 that I first checked up on the experience/career bar, realizing it hadn't moved at all.
When I started doing Sunday cup, it moved approx. 1mm (on screen) each 7-10 races. (Yes, I measured).

EDIT:
For some reason, the UCD days is progressing with RR (which is the reason I first thought RR counted towards the b-spec days). The same thing also happens if you start and quit races immediately. The UCD progresses a day, but not the experience/career bar.
Thats why I have come to the conclusion that B-spec days only progress if the XP-screen has been shown after a B-spec race. If you look at all the bars when you hit accept on XP after each race, you will notice it start at the bottom and quickly move up to the "new" level (kind of like a loading screen bar).

I thought grinding was over :ouch:
Guess I will have to press buttons tonight then. I feel like the guys in "Lost".

So do the remote races get added to the experience when I receive the prizes? I have ran a lot of races the past few days on my GTP account and I want my main Bob from normal account to gain experience.

Remote Races do not help advancing B-spec days, and as such, it's of no use when trying to get the "Air of Experience" trophy.

Remote Races do add experience to your drivers class. Both by hosting races yourself and racing done by your friends.

OK thanks. I knew it gave me experience towards leveling up, I was unsure about filling the bar. That stinks as I ran about 75 races past few days. I was doing it more for the credits bit hoping it would assist for the trophy.

I can call it a day. Finally.

Im pretty sure the Platinum trophy serves up enough punishment in getting than having to worry about getting ALL the cars and grinding all bobs to lvl 40....
Is it even practically possible to prove he has the 1000+different cars in his garage? it would be easy to get the overall number up with karts.
I think anyone that platinums GT5 deserves huge respect not only in the GT community, but the gaming community as a whole.

:D Well you can share the bobs online and just let others run them.. seems they changed the prizes for remote racing, and you get a whole lot of xp now compared to credits.
