Im pretty sure the Platinum trophy serves up enough punishment in getting than having to worry about getting ALL the cars and grinding all bobs to lvl 40....
Is it even practically possible to prove he has the 1000+different cars in his garage? it would be easy to get the overall number up with karts.
I think anyone that platinums GT5 deserves huge respect not only in the GT community, but the gaming community as a whole.

I have three Karts only. One boring white, a Schumacher red, and one yellow.

No 1000 karts trophy:

I'm quite sure I got all the cars, if not I'll double check some time in the future.

I don't understand why some people get this trophy easily (i.e. without trying) and for other serious grinding is required. My driver was at level 40 and was not even half way on his career. He took me 1.5 days of sunday cup grinding to get this trophy. I think we are missing something in the way these 500 b-spec days are calculated.
Anyway, I'm platinum finally, this was a long journey!

any one who platinum this game has my full respect and admiration. i have played all the GT games and always get stuck in 98 or 99 point something %. and with gt5 its going to be the same. i dont see any posible way to get the gold trophys in the red bull challenge with the controller. if someone has done this challenge in gold with the ds3 it must have mad skills. so congrats to all of you who platinum this game. the gt5 platinum must be the in the top 5 in difficulty for getting it.

My b-spec driver closest to filling his EXPERIENCE bar is starting to lose skills. My question is: is he still going to gain experience even if hes losing skill? Or should i try using another driver to reach the air of experience?

The way I understand it, as they get close to the "peak" of their career, they begin to show signs of decreasing abilities. So if you have those little white bars at the end of your drivers skill bars, you're on the right track!

I have all the cars, just missing the downlodeable ones. My bobs are poor. But I ain't touching B-Spec again in my life.

You and I got the Platinum Trophy on the same day, but it appears as if you are in Spain, and I am in Texas, so based on the apparent time, you got yours first.

Anyway, I also added a photo showing the status of the three B-Spec Drivers that I used to finish this up. Some folk have reported that they filled up the experience bar before their primary driver had 500 races, and this is most likely true. However, from my own personal experience, it takes at least (exactly!) 500 races of one driver being 'active' in order to fill up his experience bar.

For example, if you created one driver early on, and ran him for 300 races, and if your second driver runs an additional 200 races, that is a total of 500 races. Your first driver only participated in 300 races, but he was 'watching' the next 200 races, for lack of a better term, and thus he reached the pinnacle of 500 races, and you earned your "Air of Experience" Trophy. It is actually that simple, although in reality, it can be quite time consuming. None of my three drivers ever lost a race, and I attribute the fact that so many whiners bash their B-Spec Bobs because of their own inability to think and manage properly.

I will probably still continue to use the B-Spec mode since I intend to continue playing A-Spec, and I will need funds for overhauls, upgrades, etc. on cars that I will be using.

Yes! I thought he would never get there :nervous:

Is there anyway to know how many b-spec days have passed?

The number of races entered will give you a good indication. Although as others have stated, if you don't race the same Bob each race it won't take away from that total. 300+200=500=Air of Experience.
