Says he had an interesting conversation with the doctor at A&E, along the lines of:- How fast where you going, 220kph, On what type of road, Single track, What happened, Went over a crest and jumped about 60 meters, You've got the wrong hospital mate you want the mental hospital about 5 miles up the road.

The last two, I think, featured miniatures. Knight Rider was known for doing that. Forced "Dukes" to do it later on.

Here's some of the actual car stunts...(Keep in mind, though, that the cars were rarely usable after these. It's a testament to the strength of many of those Rally cars we see.)

You can easily tell the minatures. But at least some of that is real. Here, check this out it (sadly ) shows what REALLY happens to those poor Trans-Ams when they jump.

WARNING do not watch if you get upset by seeing classics destroyed. Oh and has some profanity.

Decent? you don't give it enough credit. sure it didn't have much of a storyline but who cares. Every part of that chase was real, and it was the guy who created the movie driving it the entire time.

Remember when he was clipped trying to overtake and go off an offramp and he hit that pole? That wasn't even planned. After it happened they thought filming was done and they'd have to re-shoot, but the guy started it right up and kept on going. What a piece of machinery that mustang was.

The driver really hurt is back on that jump though. I think he even slipped a disc.
