Evening guys,
I'm stuck... I can't be more simple than that.
In the past 4 days (around 3 to 4 hours a day) I've been trying to tune an Alfa Romeo 156 to Grand Valley Speedway... and it's been a nightmare...
I confess, I know the meaning of racing lines and mainly where they are so I know it's not my driving, but I just can't get the setup right... it's been mad around here between me shouting several "censored" names out loud and I had to accept that this Alfa just beat me up quite seriously...

Tried everything and all sort of combinations I could and the worst feeling is I still believe the car has more to give...

My best time is 1:59.545 if this is really a good time please do say so and I can stop this everyday madness.

Main objective is to beat an Honda Integra which is doing 1:56.875... both of them have the same weight, and are limited to 305bhp.

I know is to much to ask you guys for a full setup so if you guys have any tips I would be very appreciated.

Cheers

That's probably about as good.as.your going to get. The Honda is a faster car unfortunately.:(

To expand a bit on what I said above. You say both cars weigh the same and have the same HP, but is their torque the same, how about their weight distribution? Are you using power limiting or ballast on either car?
Also check to see if their PP is the same. PP may have some issues but it can be a quick indicator that one of the cars has an advantage then you need to check the differences in the cars to find those advantages. I'm just guessing at the moment but would bet the Integra has slightly more PP. It most likely has better weight distribution and a better power curve.

Yes... give a minute to give you all the information to clarify my problem LOL

Honda Integra

305bhp (power limited - no balast)
1099kg
483 PP

Initial Torque 40
Accelaration 30
Braking 10

Alfa Romeo
305bhp (power limited - no balast)
1099kg
478 PP

Initial Torque 40
Accelaration 30
Braking 10

and i can't pass the 59s below...

Tried those already before I came here to ask for help... cheers anyway mate.

If I may ask, where was the Clueless Tunes Alfa not working for you? Too much understeer? Gearing? Handling? Just wondering :dopey:

I twicked it a bit.

Spring rate it can't be that low in Grand Valley Speedway.
gearing was a bit of a nightmare but fixed it.

Understeer was always there but I fixed it 70%... I'm trying something now, I just spotted the Alfa has a really heavy nose... trying to balance it better at the moment.

1:57.214 ;) Cheers for open my mind guys.

Your PP tells the story. Betting the Integra has more torque and its power curve is better partially due to your power limiting it.

Improving the weight distribution of the Alfa will help it corner better. But if the Integra has more torque and you can get the power down it will pull away exiting the corners.

Also I'm guessing your running on RS tires. Try running both on SS tires, it will be easier to detect issues with the tunes for both and improve them.👍👍
